I rarely get them, but I got one last week. I thought I was fighting for my life, ended up waking up punching my bed. It was messed up thought it was real. And it freaked me out to be honest.

Rare 4 me. When it happens and it feels super real I wake up freaking out sometimes. I h8 when that happens but it's very rare 4 me. Usually if I'm under some direct form of stress or anxiety the dreams will be extremely intense

All the time if I overheat in bed. I need windows open and a cool room with a light duvet covering to avoid nightmares.

Last time I tried quitting smoking pot I got some and they were intense one involved fighting but it was just me getting beat up by some dude in his driveway for some reason and I couldn’t fight back or do anything was really lame and also weird but I don’t get many dreams that feel extreme enough to be called a nightmare while I’m smoking weed it keeps my psyche shielded from the horrors of dreamworld

Whoa… Weird this thread was made, as I had my first one in at least 10 years(actually 2 of them) last night. It was not a scary dream, but a horribly sad one. Woke up from it and could not sleep for an hour and a half. It fucking continued when I fell back to sleep! Scumbag brain.

i smoke entirely too much pot, for way too long now, to dream often or remember much of them if any of them if i do dream.

all that aside the crazy part, the little obscure dreams i do remember every now and then always tend to be some sort of deja vu that i forgot i dreamed but it seems to happen later in life and when it happens im just standing there like motherfucker you dreamt this shit a while back. not sure if its my mind playing tricks on me, or i actually did dream these certain scenarios, but there's been quite a few of them in my life. honestly i just hope its my brain playing tricks cuz i feel crazy sometimes.

Just about every night, and to have them multiple times per night isn't really that uncommon for me. I dream constantly.

The only thing that ever suppressed them was heavy drinking or consistent smoking of teh weeds (which also inhibits my recall of said dreams, otherwise I often remember the content of them upon waking).

The upside to this is that I can also lucid dream, which can be pretty far out and fun sometimes.

I used to battle night terrors quite often. Therapy helped a lot with that, but I have for sure seen some things that will always pop up. It's been some months since I've had them though. I have this one recurring one from my time running the security at a hospital where a 6 year old kid came into the ER after he climbed onto a bureau and one of those old tube TVs fell on top of him crushing his head. Hands down worst thing I've ever dealt with. I literally carried him inside the ER from the parking lot to rush him in as his Mother was beside herself.

I used to. Was spirits and demonic shit which was scary. Sleep paralysis also accompanied most of them so it really sucked. I'm a first person dreamer and usually aware that I'm asleep so not being able to wake myself really sucked.

Once I got greater control of my dreams I started getting pissed off and would fight instead of run in my dreams. I rarely ever have nightmares now, my girl usually wakes me up if I do as I'm thrashing around fighting whatever thing I'm dreaming of.

I generally have one of three types of nightmares.

1. Combat related. Usually getting stuck outside the wire on patrol and ambushed. Dream goes on until I get killed by the enemy. Generally pretty vivid and upsetting to wake up to.

2. Getting chased or attacked by someone and when I fight back it's like I can do no damage. I'll punch them and it doesn't hurt them at all. I have no strength or I can't get away from them.

3. All of my teeth get loose and fall out. I have great teeth in real life. Never had a cavity. Straight and white. Get plenty of compliments on them. Then I have a dream where they all just get really loose and fall out of my mouth. That's the hardest dream to deal with

Bears shouldn't get bullied by Otters.......... Time to be the man you want to be......
it's not really a nightmare.... I just wake up with a werid fckng feeling everytime I make that dream
