Yeah people are different. I think a lot of the lethargy stuff is down to diet and sleep, of which requirements are different per person.
Beyond that I've done genetic testing and found common foods I do badly with, also I found that I recover slower than average. I have better tendon strength, cardio, strength etc but I need to focus on rest more than others.
I think this a profile of more gifted athletes, they rest HARD, then go hard when it's go time.
If you're like that trying to grind puts you backwards. I spent 10 yrs making good gains, transformed myself, but once I took the foot off the gas I actually made more progress.
If you're more capable than most you can dig deeper but that then comes with a cost greater than that experienced by others.
