Do you fanboy/girl?

Funny thing you mention Dramian. I participated in one of those MTV chats back in the day with him and he answered my question. That was pretty cool for a young teen. I finally saw Disturbed live back in April.
Oh wow, that's awesome. The last time I saw them (which has been quite a few) he brought me to tears doing Sound of Silence most of which was without the band playing. His voice is incredible. We were talking about his Israeli parents on Myspace it was that long ago.

Nah, and I've worked both Gatwick and Heathrow as a commercial porter.

I've seen a lot of celebrities in the past, felt it was best to leave them well alone.

I put my jukebox on most weekends and last Sunday put on The Woderstuff's HUP which my bestie from school and I were crazy about, I tagged her in with a pic. The lead singer liked it and I was 14 years old again singing our hearts out listening to it on her bed.

The fact he knows a single second of our lives and how much we adored them in our teens was near on meltdown mode. Probably more if Trent and Bono but I've been listening to so much live Wonderstuff...stuff I was dead chuffed.

I think the only thing I got was a PM from Draiman from Disturbed and Brock from 36 Crazyfists to perk me up.

/cue old as dirt with shit taste in music and I never go on social media bollocks with Dear Diary.

Really don't like Disturbed but they did Knotfest down here year before last, yeah they put on a great show, Sound of Silence was quite epic

I don't normally go too mad for bands that do covers where I really enjoy the original but every one they've done has been brilliant.

I was so into them and Korn that when I found out they were supporting Korn in Bakersfield Korn's hometown after a few brandies I booked tickets. Bit of a trip from the UK but brilliant. I just found it odd being my first American concert that so many people were sat down. 2002 that was, how time flies.

I loved Korn, think I was 15 when I saw "Blind" on Headbangers Ball, went and bought the album the next day. I never saw them live until a few years ago at a festival, was lots of fun, very nostalgic.

I'll bet. Now I live in Kern County having moved here a couple of years ago could you believe their current(last?) tour they didn't do Bakersfield? I'd always go and see them locally now but I've seen them so many times it's kind of rolling out the same thing every time. Same I found with Rob Zombie who I saw a bunch.

Korn will always have a massive place in my heart, my first time seeing them in London I saw them one night after the last. I suppose back to fangirling they did a signing at a record shop in London and I queued up for hours outside. I thought I'd be more nuts to meet JD but Munky was so funny. What's funnier is David was the heart throb and he said he'd just hurry it up so I could get to Munky quicker.

Damn we some early middle aged farts lol Korn was the first concert I ever attended back in 2000. Seen them 5-10 times over the years.

I accidentally bumped into Anthony Smith in the restroom at a UFC event. The dude was fixing his suit in front of the mirror in the general public 😂

I ran into Bob Seger in a Travers City grocery store... literally turned a corner and bumped carts... I said "Hi Bob Seger" and he shyly said "hello"... I noticed he was just doing some standard grocery shopping so I apologized for getting in the way and moved along.

A friend of mine got tickets to Disturbed at the Moda Center a few years ago. Not a huge metal fan but I knew who they were and the concert was good.

After the concert, we were all leaving from the parking garage and I looked over at this fenced off area and all the members of Disturbed were just sitting there talking after the concert. Hardly anyone else noticed. Didn’t get to meet them but I thought that was cool seeing them chilling right after the show. Usually they are in their dressing rooms

Met Nick Cannon at the airport in Mexico

Ran into Jake Shields at a BDubs and got a photo with him

Angela Hill was checking in at the New York hotel in Vegas and pointed right at me after I noticed her in line. Walking to my room Tricia Torres was walking towards me and I asked her when was her next fight. She seemed surprised I knew who she was. Probably used to most guys trying to shoot their shot. She’s pretty muscular but tiny. Lol

Francis N’Gannou was right in front of me at the Vegas airport and stopped to give a kid his autograph and take a quick photo with him and his dad. Man, that brotha is an absolute tank. Couldn’t imagine taking a punch from him.

I didn't go and say hello but I was in LA just taking in the sights before the Bakersfield gig quite a few hours north and told husband "That's Dan Donegan".I recognised him from behind by his hair. I should have said hey, considering they were there supporting Korn but the reason we were there was because it was a two-fer I'm sure a quick hello and then go back to our Starbucks he'd've been quite chuffed with in 2002.

I don’t really fanboy much. The older you get, the more you realize the people you idolize may be amazing artists, athletes, or whatever it is they do. But they often are not great people.

I’m all for being a fan of what they do. I just tend to not be a fan of the person themselves because I don’t know them. They might have pulled a Don Henley and accidentally killed some underage hooker. You just never know.

That’s why they say “never meet your heroes.”
