The allergy isn't serious, it's an irritation of the gums and throat, and if I drink a ton of water right after eating the fruit it's OK.

True story. Back in high school a friend came over and asked for one of the mangos on the counter. I said of course and turned to get a knife to cut it up for her.

When I turned around, she had it in both fucking hands gnawing through the skin like a goddamn woodchuck or something. I actually said what the hell are you doing? And a lot louder than I'd intended.

I'd be able to eat that. I can roll in poison ivy and never get it. Skin of steel.

with a mango the favorite way i love to eat it is cut it into two halves around the seed. and then cut a few lines running longways down the half and a few lines runnning cross it and then push them out and eat the dices that are made. ofcourse i leave the skin.

My wife does this (she's Filipina) and she eats it with salt and vinegar.

had a buddy who got a box on discount.he ate the entire box in a week.

he got a herpes like rash on his lips and couldnt figure out why.then while googling lip rashes and shit an image of a mango turns up in images...he goes to the website and it turns out mangoes are in the same family as poison ivy and its not uncommon to get a rash on your lips if you eat too many...comes from the skin i think
