***Do you cut through gas stations/businesses to avoid red lights?***

It's really not worth it. It's a lot of points on your license and cops are always on the lookout for it. A guy at work got a ticket last Friday for it.

No there are rules and I look at a red light like George Carlin. He calls them driving breaks. Drive a little and then take a break.

I constantly do it at this one stoplight. It stays red forever because it's in front of a big shopping center. So I always cut through Office Depot parking lot to avoid it

It's a big parking lot so it's not as bad and easier to get away with.

I've never seen anyone get in trouble over it but I remember when I first started driving my mom telling me it wasn't a good idea.

I'm pretty cautious when I do it.

And I do it for left turns as well. I'll go into a gas station on the right, just so I come out on the road going left that's currently green.

Or to get ahead of the people in front of me, I go into the gas station, come out on the other road, then turn back onto my road ahead of the people stopped at the light. It's great until you run into the next light and then you look like a douche.

People get pulled over for this? I've never seen that happen, wow.

I've done it in my last job at an intersection with no right turns on red and 4 second green lights combination. No shits were given. I kind of wish other people ahead of me would do it so it could make room for me to do it when I'm behind them. Bear in mind that I live in a state with shitty drivers

I think it's funny when people drive over medians, weave in and out of lanes, cut through lots, etc during the morning rush.

I mean, do people really love their jobs that much that they are in such a hurry to get there?

Pretty sure work is that last fucking place I'm in a rush to get to. If being late everyday is a problem, leave earlier.

If you are late, you should have left five minutes earlier. There is no excuse for it, even you do it cautiously. It's not one of those things they made illegal for money, it's illegal cause children are in parking lots all the fucking time.

Not for short right hand turns, but I've cut through a mall parking lot to reach the freeway faster.

I have however drove on the sidewalk a couple of dozen feet to bypass some cars and make a right handed turn, it's pretty awesome. On my bike, not in a car, haha.
