***Do you cut through gas stations/businesses to avoid red lights?***

I don't do it, maybe if there was an emergency or something I might do it.

I can live with sitting at the lights for a couple of minutes, doesn't really bother me

I used to when I was younger and was in to doing stupid shit.

No. I try not to get all worked up and in a rush whether I'm on time or not.

It's a safety issue for sure, people have been injured because of this practice. The other thing to consider is that it's private property, and store owners aren't in the business of paying lease rates or property tax to provide an extra lane for traffic. To anyone who doesn't understand why this is a ticket-able offence, do you also think driving on the sidewalk is an okay way to avoid traffic?

Also keep in mind, if you hit a person or car while on private property and at the same time committing a ticket-able offence, it may effect the validity of your insurance.

You can come rolling through at 70mph in a stolen firetruck full of hookers for all i care. Im not calling the cops

Well I'm just saying, I'm not wreckless about it. Coasting through at 10-15 is fine, there's usually one spot I do it at and it's a little bank parking lot, takes a couple of seconds to go through and I'm on my way.

Yeah the problem isnt you doing it. Its everyone doing it. Cpl hundred ppl a day doing it.

Nah. That's for the dumb asses that haul ass and cut everyone off just to end up at another red light with the rest of us.

Actually don't see a ton of people doing it. Most people don't deviate from the norm in traffic. For instance, you'll see two turning lanes and one is filled to the brim with cars and the other lane has maybe two, most people are content just to follow the flow. I don't think it's an epidemic.

Only if I'm working, it's pretty hard to get a ticket in a Mail truck.

I don't haul ass and cut people off, weird.

You missed the point. If I was allowed to drive a motorbike on the sidewalk I'm sure I could avoid hurting anyone and get where I'm going a lot faster. But if everyone did that, bad things would happen, which is why no one is allowed to do that.
