Do you consider Nate Diaz to be a big PPV seller?

No.

He gained fame when he choked Conor out.

He was the lesser Diaz brother up to that point.

Not before he fought Conor. In fact, when he tried to renegotiate his contract a few years ago, Dana himself said Nate does not move the needle like his brother.

He doesn't fight often but when he does, he always have a lot of fans behind him. You always have a couple of fans asking when Nate is gonna fight. I know some don't see Nate as a big PPV seller or anything and I wanna know why? Why isn't he looked at on the same category as McGregor, Lesnar, Jones or Rousey? His inactivity? The way he does things? Like what is it?

I dunno about PPV's I watch every Nate fight.

If you look back even without counting numbered events, Nate has headlined 5 cards in the UFC which is no small thing.

The UFC would not make him a headliner if they did not trust he can get views

Nope, neither is his brother. Neither one of those tools is nearly as important to MMA as they think they are lol. I'll be glad when we officially never have to hear their voices again.

counter question: Has Nate Diaz ever had the support of the UFC promotion give him the kind of push fighters like Conor, Rousey, and Nganou received?

You misunderstand how the UFC promotes fights. They don't take a fighter out of nowhere and pushing them. The hype comes first. Then the UFC sees the hype and starts promoting them heavily.

They have never made a star that the fans weren't talking about first.

This is true, but to be fair, Conor's highest PPV buys for his UFC fights were both Nate fights.
Nate is more of a catalyst. Without the right personality for him to play off of in the buildup to a fight, there is no hype. Conor vs Nate was a volatile dynamic. You could see it too, when Conor lost all the "I don't give a fuck" back and forth.

sorry if i hurt your feelings

i always liked him but he has always been inconsistent in his career

My feelins aren't hurt bro.

But Nate has been a workhorse for the UFC cards his entire career. He actually has just as many main events early as he does late..

More than Nick too.

His title fight with Bendo was the highest rated fight night that UFC had put on to that point. He's the all time fight bonus leader(you know, puts on exciting fights). Only true haters claim he's not a draw.

What about his other 20 fights how did those do on the old Nielson ratings?

imho they used his name and people watched nicks brother fight

he headlined only fight nights before fighting connor but never drawed

He is a perfect Fox Sports 1 Fight Night headliner.. like he was pre-Conor.

nah on his own he may do like 300k

No, and he knows he isn't too or he would have fought somebody other than Conor by now.

Never been the A-side of a PPV, so we cant really tell.

I doubt he has enough fans to move the needle so to speak, but the fans he has a loud and vocal group - there's just not enough of them. He would have taken a fight and got paid by now if he could generate PPV viewers on his own.

He wasn’t, but now he is.

He’s the guy that choked McGregor to the point he tapped like a little girl. That scored him some fans for sure

Plus all the dipshit fans that thing Conor is unbeatable / GOAT will forever know Nate as being the one who embarrassed him so badly just a couple years ago

Conor made Nate a big enough name to sell more than most of their current headliners at least. But that's not a high bar.
