Do you consider Nate Diaz to be a big PPV seller?

He doesn't fight often but when he does, he always have a lot of fans behind him. You always have a couple of fans asking when Nate is gonna fight. I know some don't see Nate as a big PPV seller or anything and I wanna know why? Why isn't he looked at on the same category as McGregor, Lesnar, Jones or Rousey? His inactivity? The way he does things? Like what is it?

How many PPV's has he ever sold without conor?

No, he isn't. His only two PPV main events were against Conor, and Conor could have been fighting a washing machine and gotten 1 million buys back then.

I don't think he would be as big without Conor, but yeah.

Nate has always had a distinguishable personality, (the diaz brothers actually in general). The fight with Conor allowed him to show off more of that side and both fights were entertaining. A lot of my friends like his real-personality. I think a fight with Nate does better than most fighters including many of the champs.

But he's not a Ronda/Brock/Conor marketability. He's been beaten too many times and his lack of fighting has probably diminished him a little, if he came in and destroyed a top contender like Khabib or Tony and called Conor out he would be way bigger.

He's never had his own PPV without Conor, certainly not after and he's grown his popularity since. All the people here trying to discredit him here clearly aren't giving him a fair shake.

It's very obvious Nate is one of the most popular fighters in the UFC, and could draw a solid PPV at the very least, certainly much more than most fighters. That's pretty commendable and what I would consider a big PPV seller.

no

and the same with Nick

especially in 2018

nick / anderson did around 600k but we know them numbers are from fake news dave meltzer so -100kish

Nope.

There's a reason why the UFC haven't let him do his own PPVs.

He's nothing without Conor.

No, and he knows he isn't too or he would have fought somebody other than Conor by now.

Sadly, he probably is now but talent doesn't parallel his popularity

I'm curious - would like to see how he does fighting a headline without Conor

He could be mid-tier draw, 500k to 700k maybe

No...

his drawing power has been extremely overrated and overhyped

that said, since the conor saga he could have potentially grown

i think is crucial to see how he does next to actually give an informed opinion regarding his current status

No, he isn't. His only two PPV main events were against Conor, and Conor could have been fighting a washing machine and gotten 1 million buys back then.
This is true, but to be fair, Conor's highest PPV buys for his UFC fights were both Nate fights.

counter question: Has Nate Diaz ever had the support of the UFC promotion give him the kind of push fighters like Conor, Rousey, and Nganou received?

he was god after he beat mcgregor, but then he lost and the butt hurt aldo fans turned on him like they always do

until he beat connor, he was nicks little brother

now he is a world beater and a big 170er!

His title fight with Bendo was the highest rated fight night that UFC had put on to that point. He's the all time fight bonus leader(you know, puts on exciting fights). Only true haters claim he's not a draw.

No!

Neither was Buster Douglas after beating Iron Mike and losing to Evander.
