Jorge Ebro is a cuban reporter who frequently uploads insider news and interviews with head coaches of ATT, masters, AKA, etc. he recently interviewed Paulino Hernandez, striking coach of jorge and former striking coach of colby. the dude seems very honest and he does confirm it is for real with facts (apparently colby does have a gambling addiction and he didn't pay for his coaches' services for the rda camp, which masvidal didn't like at all). he tries his best not to talk shit about colby but you can make your own assesment.
he jokingly confirms (?) the fact that colby's got a wrestling writer giving him tips and shit too.
i'm not really hyped about this one, mainly cause they both already lost to the champ two times so there's not much on the line aside from bragging rights. caught a bit of some interviews (just a bit cause a. smith is not my cup of tea) and it's so over the top that it seems it's all fake, but it's not.
While that might prove a lot, it doesn't help with their ATT Coach is Pro Wrestling Fanatic who appeared on AEW.

Hard to say. Jorge doesn't seem like the type to forgive perceived grievances (see Askren post-knee) and Colby, who seems less spiteful, doesn't seem to have an off button for his act (see post Usman 2 in cage vs. in interviews). Stranger things have happened though.

You got two guys who are best friends trying to get paid. One is a fun fighter that, other than striking gold with Till and Askren, is a gatekeeper at best. The other is very good, but not good enough to beat the champion, and more often than not boring as shit to watch. I have very little doubt these two call each other to coordinate the best way they can milk more money from the wolf tickets they're selling.
I mean, they managed to get the UFC to book them to headline a PPV without any title on the line, so clearly it's worked. Good for them I suppose.

you're right I begged them because I want thread starters to be given a chance of creativity. if somehow the same subject thread bothers you, idk how you'll survive knowing that everything isn't original, we should allow the same subjects but with unique ideals.

Masvidal hated Askren and it showed before, during, and after the fight.
This fight against Covington looks like the Askren buildup, but times 3.
Covington has trashed on Jorge, Jorge's family (including children), Jorge's past etc. He's also gone after fellow teammates and their families (such as Dustin's wife and daughter).
I think the hate is definitely real. Maybe not to the extent that it is portrayed, but it is up there. I think Jorge will want to hurt Colby.
Even if Jorge know's that it is to build up the fight, idt he will care too much. I think he is coming out to hurt Colby. Jorge is a big enough star now to not need Colby. Jorge could fight almost anyone and sell decent PPV numbers.
Could they shake hands/fist bump post fight? Maybe. I think Colby would be willing to (he did so with Lawler and Usman). But idk about Jorge.
