Social Do we need to snowflake shame millennials?

Barney the Dinosaur came out in 1993. It is the kids who grew up watching that foolishness that are now the problem.

Oh, you think that shit's fucked up?

Shit, people talking about AI taking over when our world was fucked in like 93.

Weird you mentiom this.

Im a 1990 kid......I remember in my neighborhood we use to slap kids who use to think barnie was cool(everybody was smart enough to say they didnt like it lol)...like literally if u liked that shit, you kept that shit hidden, it was like having taboo midget porn n shit lol.

So yeah that shit was not cool with us 1990s kids atleast in my neighborhood.

We liked power rangers, dbz, you know cool shit...blues clues/barnie were a big no no

Didn't read much, but in general, yes...yes we do.

This lame 90's conservative-like cancel culture from the left, must be stamped out and rendered impotent. Just like the Christian Conservatives of the 90's were relegated to joke status over time.

Complaining about complaining is as pathetic as complaining about mean words.

You could even argue they're the exact same thing.

Must be what they mean by fighting fire with fire?

I blame the millennial generation's pussy behavior on Pokémon. Anyone who grew up watching or playing that shit is a disgrace to humanity.

I wouldn't call it fire. Something more like this:

Naw man. I see this. The media isn't telling me this.

I meet plenty of young folk I am cool with. They aren't snowflakes. They are no different then any other age group.

I also meet a significant number of young people, who absolutely are snowflakes, and unapologetic about it. I think they need some shame.
That's the root of the problem. People are told there's nothing to be ashamed about. So we're all acting like shameless freaks. You remove a major More from society and things start to fall apart

Alright, well let me paint a cause and effect.

Helicopter mom's creating a different kind of person. That parenting changed, and the cause is helicopter mom's.

I have friends that have kids that are 14 years old, that they aren't allowed to leave at home alone because the mom doesn't think it is safe.

I ran the streets until 10PM when I was 7 years old, during the summer.
Word man. I was sledding out if trees in winter and in the woods or running barefoot around the neighborhood in the summer. Kids nowadays are inside a lot and don't exercise and rarely face adversity

Uhh explicit ratings are still a thing, cable censorship, movie ratings, etc

They were highly successful then and still are to this day

you know millenials are usually over 30 right? 1981-1996.

if you want to whine about young people try to get your label right.
That is the right group though. 30 year old whiners.

But it is not really their fault. They are continuation of the disaster of the Self Esteem Movement that invaded the schools in the 80 thru 90's before being dumped for the disaster it was.

Telling every kid they were a winner. Everyone gets a prize. There were no losers.

Is it hard to understand how that generation told, no matter what you do, no matter how little you work, everything will always work out and you will always get a prize (win at life).

Life is slapping them into reality and they are crying about everything because that is not how it worked or what they were told in school.

Care to explain this drastic change? Last time I checked, "Game of Thrones" and all of it debauchery was still fairly popular, and not regulated for Christian Conservative sensibilities.

Videogames are still going unchecked too.

Where did they succeed again?

Now, when you get into lefty shit, companies are actively trying to conform...

There have always been hordes of hysterics trying to dictate what other people get to see, although the recent resurgence of that phenomenon seems one of the more successful ones in recent history. Probably because corporate culture is backing that up.

Much of the pressure is also coming from the "left" and the "liberals" who have previously stood for free speech principles. The ones left to speak up are conservatives, from whom such defenses of liberty do not necessarily come off as entirely convincing, but merely convenient for the time being (as is the case for any group that is not currently controlling the narrative).

I wouldn't say outright that it's just a matter of young kids being overly sensitive, because some of the kids around these days are the most desensitized that I've probably ever seen. They don't give a fuck about anything, nothing is off limits. Perhaps it's just getting more and more extreme between the two fronts. You have the hysterics, and then the battle-hardened types who have seen all of what the internet has to offer.

'South Park' co-creator reveals why critics bashed Dave Chappelle's comedy special that people loved

Stone also commented on the so-called "cancel culture," which involves social media outrage mobs boycotting people and brands. He said cancel culture is the result of an overly sensitive younger generation.

"It's new. I don't want to say it's the same as it's always been. The kids are f***ing different than us. There's a generational thing going on," he said. "I know some people have been canceled for genuinely, like, personal behavior, but Dave is not getting canceled anytime soon."

I've decided the answer to this question is yes, and I wanted to start here.

If you are a millennial, and not a snowflake, this isn't aimed at you, and you should take no offense.

If this rings home.......well then butter up buttercup, cause you are going to need some lube.

How do you think your parents feel about you being a sensitive little bitch?

How do you think all of society that is over 30 views you?

I don't want to be lectured by a person who needs a safe space or is offended by mean words.

When I went to school, I was worried about mean punches, mean knifes, and mean guns. Mean words were the least of my concerns.

So millennials, check your fucking priviledge brah. You are so spoiled, you have to make shit up to be offended by.

In short, fuck you, and fuck your shitty parents for not beating you.

Discuss.......

He isn't talking about millennials. Millenials are in their 30s now.

He's talking about generation Z.

Your whole OP is fucked.

And as a millennial, I laugh at my parent's generation trying to say how 'hard' they had it. Baby boomers had a free ride compared to any other generation.

No generation was softer than The Greatest Generation who voted a Socialist into the White House 4 times. And we're still fighting FDR's Radical Socialism today.

Millennials only power is fake outrage magnified tenfold by corporate media to make it seem relevant.
Anyone from that generation would have an almost uncontrollable compulsion to wedgie everyone under the age of 30 today.

Forget about the horror aspect of it for a minute. Sleepaway Camp is a pretty good snapshot on how kids used to treat each other in the 80s.

Any previous generation, perhaps. That said, compared to todays pampered pansies, it was like Deadwood.

Absolutely yes. These cringy zoomers need to learn real-life lessons that their limp-wristed millennial parents will never teach them

It's not a generational thing, dummy. Those parents always existed.
