UFC has a golden goose they want to run until the wheels fall off and Ankalaev sort of did it to himself after Jan draw and then getting a NC. He should for sure. As much as I strongly dislike Ankalaev, if he beats Rakic then he should be next for Pereira.

The only question is: Does Pereira move to heavyweight at that point? If he beats Roundtree, fighting Ankalaev is a big risk. If you're going to take a big risk, you might as well go to heavyweight and attempt to become the first UFC fighter to be a champion in three different weight classes.
