Do u think Gane can escape Francis’ blitz?

Gane is faster than Ngannou and more sound technically so yes, I think he will be making Ngannou miss a lot.

He has the best chance, out of any current heavyweight, to get out of the way of Ngannou's marauding assaults

Just focus on what he did vs Lewis. He would turn and run. So throw your strikes late, chase him down first and keep chasing him before throwing strikes. Have him run into the cage and corner himself or trip up trying to maneuver away from the cage. Cut him off and don't throw strikes too early. Just know he's going to move back every time you move forward to strike, so plan your strikes and combinations according to that. Take an extra step forward before throwing anything.
My namesake Frank needs to cut off the cage better than Lewis did.

Note, Francis comes at u ferociously and swings and willing to get hit as long as he hits u and it’s extremely hard to deal with that style even if u r an old pro and seen it all!
So my question is can Gane survive the blitz?

Really depends on when he chooses to initiate said blitz.

Ganes coach stated after the interim title fight that the only thing that surprised him was the finish did not come by headkick because they had devoted such a large portion of their camp to it.

That may have not been the word for word phrasing but that was the jist of it, so they appear to be preparing for it when it inevitably comes irrespective of opponent.

Ngannou appears to divert from the "gameplan" often but its hard to imagine his coaches wouldn't tell him that Gane is the worst opponent to "blitz" due to the kicking game.

Gane is arguably better at striking with his legs than his hands.

Agreed. He's good at controlling distance with his legs

100% he can. Look at all of Ngannou's KO's and you'll notice a pattern. All of those guys were either standing skill or coming forward, and exchanging with Big Frank. Gane is not going to do that. His movement and range is poison for a puncher like Ngannou.

That's not to say Big Frank can't land a punch and put him out. But stylistically this is horrible for Ngannou.

I just have this feeling like he's buying too much into his own hype again.

Maybe, but he knows really well what Gane brings to the table, so I doubt he will take him lightly

That vid in the OP is not the blitz I’d have chosen to prove my point.
Brett Rogers-esque is Ngannou’s blitz, Joe….

Most likely outcome is that Gane handles Francis with superior movement and technique.

Going with Gane by total domination, Ngannou loads up and loads up always, he will get hurt badly I think. Its ok with flat footed old slow guys, but anyone with high skill level who is fast and accurate could clown him I feel

There's still a lot of unknowns about Gane. For all we know, he could have a GOAT chin, which is common among GOAT's (Jones, Khabib, etc). If that's the case, it might not be a matter of just landing one punch on him, even for Ngannou.

Rosenstruik was half an inch away from landing the check left hook and Francis missed like 4 straight windmills.

Stipe ate like 5 clean shots and then hurt Francis.

Francis wont touch Gane.

Gane by liver shot.

Honestly, JDS was doing ok against Francis before he through a stupid punch that left him defenseless. And Francis played his blitz card against Bigiboi who was probably somewhat shocked that Francis blitzed at him the way he did.

I think Gane is simply gonna outclass Francis. I think Gane will show that he is on a different level.

Ngannou blitzed once, against Rozenstruik, and he admitted that it was not good and that he was just fighting frustrated and emotional.

He fought very similarly against JDS and against Stipe (2nd time), and even against Blaydes (2nd time) to some degree. Distance control with the jab, cripple with leg kicks, press the trigger when the guy has the back against the cage.
That's his true style and what Gane will likely have to deal with. Not that so called blitz.

I don't think Gane is going to back up in a straight line with his chin in the air.
He might, but I wouldn't bank on it.

The first round blitz is a key aspect. That and Ngannou finding a way (or not) to make Gane exchange. If he can't do either then 50-45.
