Do u honestly think that prime Fedor could beat prime JDS?

Fedor gets rocked, clinches. Gets his wits about himself and drags JDS down Dontsee how you wouldnt think this is feasible. Hell its actually a fantasy scenario, where im giving JDS more success than i actually think he would have
 
I feel like it would be similar to the Cain/JDS trilogy with Fedor getting the best 2/3 and the one loss coming from a super early KO. Or Fedor just wins all 3

You mix in the fact that JDS is not good defensively backing up, I wouldn't be shocked to see him get knocked out. The pressure he would put on Junior wouldn't allow him to dictate pace and distance or take control of the octagon. Fedor in someone's guard in his prime is a scary sight.

Agree. Prime Fedor was like trying to corral an ornery cougar.

Could JDS perform great, catch Fedor coming in clean a bunch of times, and win the fight? Sure, absolutely.

But to question whether Fedor had avenues to victory is ludicrous. Look at the Arlovski fight where he was getting chewed up by a bigger, more technical boxer. One tiny opening and he’s flatlined. Even past his best he would’ve had that option, and at his best he’d have many others.
 
JDS was awesome during his title tear.

But Cain’s pressure and dirty boxing was his kryptonite. Fedor would likely do the same, and take it to the ground. Not where JDS does well.

Fedor also had great boxing and explosive striking at his peak. I was a huge prime JDS fan, but Fedor wins far more often than not.
 
Could Fedor beat and would he beat JDS are two different things. Yes I think Fedor had the potential to beat JDS.

There is no question JDS was a beast in his prime but his ground game/ground defense was pretty limited despite him being having a brown belt in his prime. With that being said JDS was dangerous as hell if he's able to freely tee off on you.

JDS/Crocop had the same issue where their output/offense was greatly diminished the moment they are on the retreat
 
He is vastly more well rounded, so yes.

Thats very questionable even against a Fedor starting to show a narrower boxing game, just throwing "straight punchs just like they teach in boxing" isnt the end of technique, indeed I think its at the more basic end of technique. I think you can see Fedor was the much more fluid fighter in that match, able to slip pretty much everything Arlovski was throwing at him plus of course picking out the KO shot, that is not actually a badly timed flying knee by Arlovski at all and he only gets caught because Fedor picks up on in so early.
 
That's a tough one. Prime JDS is criminally underrated. He was like the original Francis Ngannou with better cardio and wrestling defense. Prime JDS was a mother fucker

Fedor beats any version of Jones, faster, more powerful, stronger, meaner, better subs. Cain wins in a cage Fedor wins in a ring . Fedor vs DC 50/50. Fedor smokes Stipe who is too slow
 
Again I think JDS would have a better shot vs a prime Nog or Crocop than he would Fedor, those two would likely give him space and time that he likes were as Fedor would be in his face like Cain was in the rematches backing him up.

Since we are talking prime Fedor I assumed pride rules

Every guy I mentioned is coming in full cyborg just like him... Jones would be unstoppable with no drug testing or watching his weight.... I suspect stipe would as well

I would love to see peak Fedor against a geared up Jones. Would be amazing.
