Do u guys member Coleman vs. Shogun 2?

Its insane to me how BJJ black belts like Shogun and Bonnar still got manhandled by Coleman and neither of them came CLOSE to subbing Coleman. Bonnar a Renzo black belt and Shogun a Christiano Marcelo black belt.

Fedor's Sambo armlocks though:

still one of the best armbars in the history of MMA, it was so smooth and fast, its unreal as to how good Fedor was back in 03-05. I would take that Fedor vs anyone in the world.

You guys remember the backstage vid of Dana and Lorenzo in Shogun's room congratulating him. Then they ask him, Ice Man, and in poor Shogun's broken English he said yeah. Couple months later Shogun shows up with a six pack, is light on his feet and owns Chuck haha.

Lol the UFC tried to fuck up with Shogun giving first Chuck than Lyoto but it backfired :) Jones got the job done though :(

Seems like a pretty random fight to bring up.

It was kind of cool seeing Coleman in the octagon, as I was young and missed most of Coleman's early fights. Decent fight IIRC

Lol only u would make this about fedora. Coleman was junk and one dimensional. Nice try though! And lol at bringing up Bonnar...whenever I bring him up as a decent win for jones ppl discredit the shit out of it but now that it has something to do with promoting the fedor agenda "bonnar is amazing and unsubmittable blah blah". The hilarious double standards on sherdog.

Fuck it was years ago lol I remember Shogun getting that late stoppage, was it that bad? lol
No, Shogun won the first round large and then gassed. Sherdog scored it a 10-8 which was rare back then. Coleman won round 2 easy and round three was pretty close give an edge to coleman. Shogun was damaging coleman badly though.

Yeah and I also remember the really sad video of Coleman post fight, swollen and bloody and screaming in the locker room about the stoppage and how he almost had it

Shogun took a LOT of heat for that performance IIRC, it was the Chuck fight everyone got back on his cock
And the machida fight he had literally nothing to loose people were writing him off so bad

New-Old UFC Shogun > Old-Old UFC Coleman > > > > > > > > > Joe Rogan

Prime Coleman and Kevin Randleman (RIP bro)...IJDK. Those guys were monsters. Respect.

Shogun looked horrible and gassed early, came on late with dead arms to stop Coleman.
I pretty much wrote Shogun off after this, and I was wrong again.
Shogun has about as many lives as a cat.

Never watched and heard it was a bad fight.

Beat his ass? He was on his way to lose a decision from what I remember.

I would watch that fight again. Shogun did beat Coleman up and was in now way close to losing a decision, I think what people remember was round 3, Coleman was winning the round and Shogun was gassed but Shogun won the first two rounds very clearly, I just watched that fight leading up to Vilante a few weeks ago. Coleman had some success for first two mins of round 1 with 3 takedowns but Shogun got up and attempted subs......around 3 mins he took Coleman down and kept him down till about the minuete mark and then Shogun landed some big strikes and knocked Coleman down and continued to land on the ground. Round 2 for the first three mins Shogun had Coleman against the cage and was landing strikes over and over, punches, elbows, knees in the clinch and leg kicks, Coleman got a takedown early that round but Shogun scrambled up. Coleman got a takedown just under 2 mins after Shogun attempted a jumping knee in clinch and had Shogun on his back for a bit but Shogun got up landed some strikes, Coleman gets him down again around 1 min mark and Shogun gets him in a shoulder lock and lands gnp till the round ends.

Yes, it was the hardest I'd ever laughed during a fight.
