Man I remember when I was 13-14, rollerblading was huge. I had a pair of rollerblade lightnings and my parents even signed me up for roller hockey which was awesome.

In china that shit is still popular but they are like 20 years behind the curve with most things. I would see huge packs of skinny jeans wearing Chinese kids with gay haircuts rollerblading in the square anytime I walked through there.

I bought a pair for a $1 last year in Colorado, horrific idea since that town was on a mountain and flatland was scarce. Just wanted to be like Brink.

I miss it, but where we moved to does not have smooth roads to do it anymore. Upgrading the bearings are key. You can use stock bearings, spin the wheel by hand, and it may spin freely for 10-15 seconds. Go to the highest rated bearings you can get, and it may spin 2 minutes. It makes it like skating on ice as opposed to walking in molasses, huge difference. Also, unless you take a lot of sharp turns, get the tallest wheels that will fit, you will go very fast and smooth.
