Do people still die from roids?

from my ChatGPT consultation:

How many bodybuilders have died in the past 3 years?

ChatGPT said:

Over the past three years (2022–2024), the bodybuilding community has experienced the loss of several athletes. While exact numbers are challenging to confirm due to varying reports and the prominence of individuals, available information provides some insight:

2022:
  • Reports indicate that 36 bodybuilders passed away in 2022.
    YouTube
2023:
  • In 2023, approximately 50 bodybuilders were reported to have died.
    YouTube
2024:
  • As of late 2024, sources suggest that 23 to 25 bodybuilders have passed away.

These figures are based on available reports and may not encompass all incidents. The causes of these deaths vary, including health complications, accidents, and other factors.

- Now try to put all the unknow bodybuilders that die. Guys are gonna start falling like flies on the coming years. The steroid talk is widespread. @Sinister is a coach in a real sport, with a real background, in bodybuilding, any idiot becomes a coach.

I know several karatekas,jiu-jitsu and taekwondo patricioners aht are close to their 40's or 50's htat actually athleast look health. But you cant partake(sp?) in a real sport, and i include pro-wrestling with his juycing, and be a abuser, being BP hight, moving several extra pounds, being a bathroom slave, with all the eating, basically you dont have a life, not a normal one. In bb, you just train 1 hour and lay down the rest of the day. Move very little.

It depends what they are using. A few bodybuilders die every year.

SARMs aren't safer. They are used by a lot of younger guys in their teens. This gen is going to be really bad. Their influencers openly admit to doing steroids and teach protocols on their social media. There is also the TRT cash grab. You have 20 year olds who get TRT now.

This is a fun watch. There are at least two liars on the natural side. You can see guys who look less than ideal on the steroid side.

Yes. Buts mostly from misuse or abuse. Unless its very necessary, stick to creatine.

With SARMs, it definitely depends on which ones, doses and how long you use them for - LGD is highly androgenic and will fuck you up if you don't cycle correctly and use PCT. Ostarine, not so much - when not consuming retard level doses or for super long periods, you don't even need PCT... you know, I hear...

One female bodybuilder that I know, she found her bodybuilding boyfriend dead of a heart attack, I think he was in his 30s. Also, a bodybuilding friend that I used to bar hop with died last year of what we suspect was due to roids. He was in his 30s I believe.

I used to buy UFC and MMA shirts from this bodybuilding supplement shop in the early-mid 2000s. The guys who worked there were super jacked. I remember Phil Baroni and Josh Koscheck would hang out with them. This thread reminded me of that.

Actual body builders too have a very all or nothing mentality. Unfortunately many of them use rec drugs as well with the same mind set. I believe the boredom from living a life holed away in the gym or always prepping food and no outside other hobbies or social circle lead to wanting a mental outlet. All of them come across as major drug addicts in the way they view gear, so it's no surprise it appears with drugs like pain pills, amphetamines and the like. Its all very closeted or rationaled that it helps with appetite suppression or picking up energy levels. Similar drug use in someone not on steroids isn't healthy, but it shouldn't drop ya dead at 40. But the combo really can do a number on heart liver and kidneys.

Not enough long term research for SARMs. Testosterone and older steroids has a ton of data. More or less you can monitor the side effects and try to mitigate them. It still doesn't make it safe.

So many people push SARMs on the internet but they don't even take them. The funniest is that Levan arm wrestler. The guy is a mutant and he is claiming he got that way by taking SARMs and it's perfectly safe.
