No, they don't, but i prefer when they have an ending. Having a film end open-ended seems so unsatisfying. I know some people can appreciate it, but i prefer a conclusion.
Absolutely not they should remake movies and give them bleaker endings.
Toy story, they are just toys and the kid gets medicated and then raped in a psych ward, becomes a male prostitue and is murdered by a serial killer.
DCU movies stay the same and a bleak future where they slowly and predictably ruin the entire DC franchise.
It works to because the kid becomes the toy in the story for the serial killer. Could add a side story of the mother banging some dude on the side for all the incels to chat about
Personally, I like the ending. It hit the heart. For me. Great movie hands down.Shawshank Redemption was almost ruined by that bullshit final shot
