Do Conor fans still consider Cerrone a quitter?

Tapping =/= quiting.
Going turtle position does.

I think technically tapping is quitting. The person tapping is signaling the end of the fight meaning they are literally quitting. Not that there's anything wrong with it.... But when it comes down to it that's pretty much what tapping is

How is tapping out to a choke you know you won't get out of considered quitting?

Conor at least beat Nate's ass for 7 minutes before losing, which is more than Cerrone could do to either RDA or Diaz.

It's hard to make any logic out of Connor fan boys but it doesn't change the fact that Cowboy folds under pressure and when things are not going his way.

Cerrone said that sometimes he doesn't show up to fight. He doesn't understand it, but that's what happened with RDA. So... seems like he admitted being a quitter on occasion to me.

Nothing against Cerrone, happens to a lot of guys, I'm sure.

I'm a Conor fan but I'm not Conor. So no I never thought Cerrone was a quitter. He does choke during important fights however.

Conor shot on Nate knowing he was gonna get subbed.

He quit just the same as Cowboy.
Spoken like a true keyboard warrior. I'm pretty sure Conor had no fucking clue what was going on when he shot for that takedown.

Haha pretty much this, it has been amusing watching some of the over-zealous Conor fans on here struggle to make sense of what happened last weekend
Really? Because it's seemed pretty mild imo. Pretty much it's only the haters being vocal and obnoxious which was the same story before the fight.

Refer to my post above, technically tapping out is quitting. Its not like the same thing as someone who is tired or hurt and just falls down on purpose to avoid damage, but when it really comes down to it tapping is signaling the end of the fight yourself and therefore is quitting. Not that I think anything is wrong with it. No reason to sit in a choke that is locked in or a joint submission that will do damage.

I think people often are too harsh on fighters for "quitting". I think there are very few instances that deserve actual criticism. Conor tapping out to a locked in RNC when he was already gassed and likely hurt shouldn't really be criticized so much.

I never thought Cowboy WAS a quitter.

But he's definetly a choker.

Mayor McCheese folded like a limp noodle. He had no business ridiculing Cerrone or anyone else, for quitting. The big mouth knows not to pop off now that Nate tuned him up like Jiffy Lube.

Holly went out on her shield, Conor tapped like Gregory Hines. King Conor, my ass. He's just lucky that he is still the Mayor of Munchkinland at 145 lb..

Haha he wasn't knocked out cold, he knew what he was doing.

He had two options,

1. Keep standing with Nate, circle, cover up, try to recover and keep trying to get the KO but also risk getting KO'd yourself.

2. Try to get the fight to the ground vs a BJJ black belt while you are rocked.

Conor knew he was going to get subbed.

Also Cerrone's body was shut down from a liver shot. A shot like that will literally leave you paralyzed, and not to mention that Cerrone had surgery from an accident and is now missing half of his stomach/intestines.

If Cerrone quit, then Conor quit.

So much dumb. He was rocked, why else would a striker who has never shot for a takedown suddenly shoot for a takedown? Also why did I have to explain that?

He opted to get submitted instead of KO'd.

That's why he shot for a takedown. He knew if Nate landed clean a few more times he was going down anyway.

More heart than Conor.

He took a ton of punishment from Nate and didn't get finished. He also dropped Nate with a head kick.

Conor took one clean shot from Nate then started backing up immediately and became a panic wrestler.
That's incorrect conor stayed in the pocket after being wobbled the first time and still tried to pressure in my opinion that was a bad idea and lead to him being blasted a few more times . People are talking a lot of shit on conor and I get it he deserves a lot of it because of some of the shit he said prefight but I don't get the no heart bullshit he still attempted to stand and trade with diaz after being wobbled than finally shot for a takedown and had a guillotine escape and then got mounted took some shots and tried to roll out instead of tapping and Nate's perfect mount while flattening conor out was check mate ! I just am not seeing a lack of heart !

Conor has nothing to do with my opinion of Cowboy, but yes he is a quitter. In all his big fights he chokes, and even in some first rounds of lesser fights
