No idea who is winning the big rematch, I picked Beterbiev first time around, but Bivol surprised me standing his ground. I have a funny feeling Bivol forces the trilogy here and Benevidez has to wait some more.

Bivol was using his head as a battering ram to discourage Beterbiev's aggression in close. Dirty but it was a smart tactic that helped him survive. Team Beterbiev also admitted that they underestimated how good his lateral movement was. Most of his movement we'd seen prior was linear. I've got Beterbiev by stoppage in the rematch. He'll be more aggressive and physical than last time. I don't think there will be any more *surprises*.

Looking forward to the big rematch (the whole card I should say!)

I'm much more interested in seeing Bivol fight Benavidez than the trilogy with Beterbiev. The two fights were incredible, but the third fight will be more of the same. At least fighting Benavidez will be something different

Tougher fight style wise for Benavidez, but I know his bravery now, so I’m expecting a really good fight. He needs to know Bivol can stand under some serious pressure and artillery. I think it’s safe to say Benavidez isnt defenseless as once thought, and Bivol isn’t just a finesse guy.

Bivol and Beterbiev will fight again.
Bivol will win.
Benavidez will fight Bivol and stop him in 8 rounds.
No ones factoring in the damage that Bivol will have accumulated after 3 fights with Beterbiev.

I think stylistically Beterbiev is the easier matchup for Benavidez. Bivol is exactly the kind of guy who can stop a volume puncher's momentum with timing and movement. At least with Artur, David has a chance to hurt him in a firefight. I'd still pick Benavidez to lose to both guys.

Benavidez couldn't stop Plant who after he took a beating from Canelo nor hurt an over the hill Gvozdyk. I don't think he can hurt Bivol when even Beterbiev didn't rock him.

It wasn't even the WBC's turn to order a mandatory it's the IBF's. They're next in the rotation. The IBF mandatory (Eifert) has already stepped aside to allow the Beterbiev vs Bivol trilogy fight. The WBC really doesn't want a Russian champion. As for how Bivol vs Benavidez would go…

If Bivol is at his best (as someone pointed out who knows how much damage he takes in the 3rd Beterbiev fight), Benavidez shouldnt have much of a chance. Beterbiev threw 600-700 bombs at Bivol in each fight and Bivol was never hurt and able to avoid most. Benavidez cant create equal amounts of pressure as Beterbiev and his volume isnt greater either. So whats going to make him a more dangerous opponent? his handspeed and combos maybe. But Bivol is too quick for that with his in and out movement. I see him outpointing Benavidez.

I would love to see this fight get made against the winner (assuming no trilogy). Benavidez is ready for the step up imo.

I can’t pick against bivol, but I give benevidez a small chance of the upset (most have no chance against bivol). I’ve heard they’ve sparred in the past?
Benavidez was mentioning Bivol and sparring him and was not shy about fighting either guy in an interview I saw. If he felt good sparring Bivol, well, we see now how closely matched Bivol is to Beterbiev, maybe just maybe the hyperbole about Bivol and Beter has gotten a little out of hand and maybe the criticism of Benavidez did too for a bit. Would be interesting to see a tight competitive match up, because it would be good for the division to keep having this momentum

I picked Benavidez to beat Morrell but dude has no chance against Bivol whatsoever.

"Benavidez by nationality" 😆 🤣 😂

Nobody is factoring it in because a third fight and damage has not happened.
I'd say Bivol actually avoided a lot of damage in both fights. He looked better and took less damage in the 2nd fight. So that's definitely not a sign to support him getting shopworn or diminished. IMO

If 24 rounds of Biev's pressure and power barely even wobbled Bivol & he got stronger, I just don't think it bolds well for a less powerful pressure fighter from a lower weight class.
Unless the volume & hand speed of Benavidez is going to be a significant difference maker.

You don't even believe Benavidez would stop Bivol. The odds would be so in your favor, you would be silly to not post a bet slip if it ever happens.

Benavidez looked very vulnerable last time out, he isnt beating Bivol

The story doing the rounds is bivol dropped him, but who knows what the truth is, and who cares, it’s sparring.

The best LHW contender outside of benevidez is smith, and he’s already been destroyed by beterbiev. Benevidez is the only guy with any chance to beat either. I personally think bivol is the harder fight for him
