As long as it's not for a title it's a great fight.
Why would Dj give a would be usurper an opportunity to dethrone him? I get where Dj is coming from. Tj should string together some defenses or a couple of bouts in 125, not barging in like a thief: taking all the glory without putting in the work. Then DJ should quite hiding and do it. TJ s a stud if he knows he can make weight I trust him more that DJ apologist pretending he cant.
DJ and all his fans cried themselves to sleep when Pettis lost his last fake contender, maybe it's time to camping for Borg v Johnson 2 that guy got a bad deal he needs a rematch.
TJ is so full of it. I like TJ. I'm grateful he stopped the D-Bag Cody. I'm a fan of his. But him calling out the smaller fighter is sad. But the real sad thing is. Mighty mouse would beat him. TJ is already shredded at 135. He's lean. Has a clear 6 pack with a low body fat percentage. Probably 10%. I'm not confident he makes 125. But IF he does, he will drain himself so bad. He will gas early on. Mighty mouse is Taylor made for this weight. He never gets tired. Mighty mouse would stop him tbh.
Im seriously starting to think that TJ is underestimating the weight loss required to move down a division at his size.
Guys who are going from 155 to 145 have to lose 6.4% of their total bodyweight. And we have seen LWs fighting at FW often. A lot of them look dead on the scales.
Now imagine going from 145 to 135. Still just ten lbs, but on the smaller fighter, comprises a larger bodyweight percentage. Moving from FW to BW requires losing 6.9% of a fighters bodyweight.
What TJ is trying to do is move from 135 to 125, an even more drastic move based on percentage of bodyweight loss required. For a BW to move to FLW, he needs to lose 7.4% of his bodyweight.
The difference may seem negligible as there is less than a 1% variation, but im willing to bet its bigger than people are estimating.
FFS where's his defense?TJ is too big and too powerful.

No he wants to fight a pound for pound great who was a successful 135er in the past for a reasonAnd TJ wants to fight a A small 125 pounder as the 135 pound champion. Instead of trying to not lose to Dominick Cruz again.
it's all in the head moomen'FFS where's his defense?![]()
