The guy literally could have issued a statement that said "Disney has a right to their views. In this case, as evidenced by my landslide win in the election, I believe that Disney's views run in contrast with those of the residents of Florida. That said, they have been a great partner with us over the years and have contributed much to the economy of our great state and we will continue to work alongside them to help enrich the lives of Floridians."

Imagine bragging about how much money Disney is making, while simultaneously arguing that they need to be given special tax exemptions that save them MILLIONS each year. Next thing you know you will be complaining about "muh billionairess not paying their fair share", while simultaneously pushing the "build back better bill" that cut taxes to millionaires and billionaires across the country.

I don't think anybody here gives a shit if Disney ends up having to pay millions in taxes. Frankly I think everyone wants them to pay more in taxes. That's not the issue though. Get serious. Obviously it was in his power. The question is if it was an abuse of power. If Disney hadn't publicly voiced an opinion against his "don't say gay" bill would any of this even be happening?
