. Grrrrreat fuckin scrap
It was.
. Grrrrreat fuckin scrap
If every fight was like this then I’d watch all the time again.
Shit felt like old school Amaury Bitteti vs. Don Frye or something.
Open weight no guts no glory stuff that you barely see anymore.
It reminded me of when Anderson was trying to goad Weidman, but getting hit when he didnt mean to. He was fast enough before, but no longer. So maybe Figgy Smalls was a half step behind what he usually was cos of hospital visitYou mae be right. Also, I don´t want to downplay Moreno's efforts, to be honest. But I don´t remember the last time I saw a fighter expecting a fight basically in the stand up and go to the ring with his hands at waist level. Maybe it was excess of selfconfidence, maybe he was injured, maybe was taunting Moreno to come into reach. But it was painful to watch.
Also yes, he may have won three rounds (IMO), but the was much, much closer to be finished than Moreno.
Fuck, I was watching Figgie taunting Moreno with hands down and remembering Spider's head bouncing on the canvas...It reminded me of when Anderson was trying to goad Weidman, but getting hit when he didnt mean to. Yep. The guy is amazing.Fuck, I was watching Figgie taunting Moreno with hands down and remembering Spider's head bouncing on the canvas...
It's funny, because I feel that with better boxing defense Figgie would be like indestructible.
Yes, if only prime RJJ kept his hands up he would have been such a better boxer.Fuck, I was watching Figgie taunting Moreno with hands down and remembering Spider's head bouncing on the canvas...

RJJ was KO'd 5 times.... maybe if he kept his hands higher he would of never been KO'd and have a perfect record like mayweatherYes, if only prime RJJ kept his hands up he would have been such a better boxer.
Imagine being this dumb.

Israel Adesanya also evades punches sometimes by moving his torso backwards and he has some of the best striking in MMA.Frye gave Bitteti he most onesided spanking that I can remember in more that 20 years following mma (ignore what "2004account" or "EndlessCritic" believe), a brutal, savage spanking that moved into gore territory, something truly painful to watch, while Figgie and Moreno gave us a good, balanced scrap.
Figueiredo/Moreno was a very good fight, and even tho I believe Figgie won that fight, Moreno was much closer to a finish than the champ, to be honest.
What I saying is that if Figueiredo continues defending his belt with his fist at waist level, he will have a violent wake up soon.
When I was doing boxing at amateur level, the first lesson at the gym, apart from the 1-2, is "You never, ever, avoid the incoming punches moving your torso backwards". That can work of one punch in a while, but as a technique is a no-no-no.
And how that help you explain a fighter with his hands at his waist?
Chill the fuck down, snowflake.

FWIW I think the technique probably works better in MMA or kickboxing, where leg kicks are also a threat, than it does in straight boxing
I'm not saying it's good to fight with your hands down though

Not every fighter uses a high guard you moronic fucking donkey. And how that help you explain a fighter with his hands at his waist?

Keeping his hands low gives him more angles while making it easier to defend takedowns. Not the worst plan when you're fighting a good wrestler.
Cub and a bunch of other fighters do the same shit but I bet you won't make a thread crying about them.
Try not to get so defensive when you post ; you won't look as bitchmade.
I'm not a professional fighter you low functioning dipshit.OMG we have a tough dude, here!!!
Go to press your pimples, son.
Imagine being such a moron as to defending the idea that fighting with your hands at your waist is "not the worst plan" LOL
Get the fuck out of here, fool, go to a gym, lace some gloves and see how your plan works. LMAO
That ceases to surprise me, judging my your post count.Shit, Sherdog never cease to surprise me.
I'm not a professional fighter you low functioning dipshit.
Your braindead analogy crumbles into tiny pieces once applied to a high level striker.
Imagine telling Izzy or Conor that their style doesn't work (lmfao)
Figgy was slipping and countering well until he gassed out. I'd say he did fine considering he was puking in a hospital the day before.
Your IQ must be capped at room temperature. Don't breed or else your family tree will suffer birth defects.
That ceases to surprise me, judging my your post count.
I'm sure you'll still be here in 50 years on your 2015 account, telling everyone how sherdog failed to surprise you, LOL
Imagine if you put all this time and energy towards something important, rather than posting on a forum 6000 times.
