Older stuffs more thrashy/deathy influenced. Plus all thier stuff is in E standard. Nice to see a band using that for metal instead of downtuning like most bands do now.

Been waking up very early as of late. It's awesome - got plenty of time to take my daily walk around the lake and if need be go for a morning raid in the local supermarket. Hours upon hours of free time to study and play games, and get some well needed daylight which is becoming increasingly scarce.
Speaking of games, I finally pulled my thumb out of my ass and downloaded my copy of Road Redemption which I'd supported on Kickstarter. It's fucking AWESOME - I haven't had this much fun with a game in a long time; it's like Road Rash ... except with way too many scoops of preworkout to count. Note that the game has progressed with more content and features than in the video below, though it's still in the open testing phase. Still - fuckin go buy it, it's hilarious. The sensation of grabbing a hold of an unsuspecting biker so you can launch him off into the meeting lane at a car at the right moment is beauteous.

I've already lost count of my calories today. Chalk it up as a cheat-day. First meal of the day was an emergency dump of ground pork (365g), cheese (70g) and six eggs with a bit of shredded carrot and garlic. Everything thereafter is a haze - ordered a plate of beef fillet papardelle, ate a good part of my girlfriend's de luxe hamburger leftovers, followed by 40g of chocolate and 300g(?) of candy and a glass of Pepsi Max - which was fuckin disgusting. Currently working at the hotel with seven hours left on the clock and UFC prelims which start in two hours, so atleast I've got that going for me, which is nice.

The sport is starting to gain a bit of traction, seeing as how Gus is the golden goose of swedish MMA, but still nowhere close to the popularity of football and hockey here on a day-to-day basis. My personal thoughts on the fight fight are as follows: I like what Alex has accomplished, but the turnaround that Rumble has managed to pull off is insane - from fucking his kidneys over to becoming a contender in a weightclass two steps above his initial competition weight is insane, even without considering the personal struggles he's gone through with that bitch ex of his that tried to slam him with DV-charges. Hard to pick a winner here - Alex winning sets up a titleshot, and a swedish beltholder would be nice, but Rumble deserves the win all the way if he succeeds. It'll be bittersweet regardless of who wins.
 
Interesting. Thanks for well-written response. Combat sports will always be in the shadows compared to sports involving a ball, unfortunately.
