Hopefully UFC inks a deal with Nike or somebody, and works something out where fighters actually get paid something significant. Reebok fight kits also looked like shit.

Dams needs to just let fighters get their own sponsors like before to supplement their income.

yup, they made many times their UFC money via sponsors

That is the real travesty. Pay them peanuts? Whatever. Restrict their ability to earn for themselves? TERRIBLE.

Also it might solve some of the inactivity / stalling / bad press problems if the allow it again.

UFC does not stop fighters from having sponsors on social media or TV outside the fights. ESPN makes over $5 billion in revenue from TV ads a year. They are not going to allow sponsors to advertise for free.

yeah, that's not going to stop them from doing it again with a different company. once a company takes money from the pockets of employees, its a rare chance they will ever give it back

Am I the only one who doesn't miss the embarrassing "Condom Depot" sponsors and stuff on fighters clothing? Boxing and all other sports don't allow sponsors on shorts like UFC used to.
It looked better than the flat colored communist school uniform shorts they have now. With cringy flag pandering for color, at best.

And what's wrong with Condom Depot? You used to have a wide verity of product offers. Now it's just Conor's piss, video games and energy drinks. Besides, the entire cage looks like a Nascar vehicle - but shorts have to be bland?

By the way, Reebok wasn't to blame for the Reebok deal. They're good sponsors for hockey players and other sports in general. How UFC handled their side of the deal is what sucked and it's a UFC problem, so nothing will change with a new sponsor.

That’s good but as someone else said, it’s ESPN that’s the issue. They won’t allow free advertising.
Get rid of DISNEY/ ESPN.
