Din Thomas vs DC on commentary

Same, sometimes Din's commentary feels really bland and out of nowhere but I like DC he can be entertaining

DC is very good at talking about the local city BBQ, that's about the only time he shows some charisma.

Din is more of an analyst than a commentator. He's good in limited doses. You let him come in, deliver his take on what each fighter is doing right or wrong thus far and what their best path forward is... then you promptly tell him to fuck off. Frankly I think Cruz should be used in the same way as he's too dry and terse to be a good color commentator, but that's neither here nor there.

DC is... okay... when Joe isn't around for him to riff off of. He's a bit lazy and underschooled on the material at times, but his practical experience shines through especially when walking the audience through wrestling exchanges, plus he has that loveable oaf charisma to him.

Never got the DC hate from Sherbros. Any event without either him or Rogan is a snoozefest. The company itself knows this, which is why they combine them at their biggest events and leave the likes of Cruz and Bisping for the obligatory shit cards at the Apex.

Yes, but he only does a 1 minute take on a fight. If he had to actually commentate on a fight for 15-25 mins, he'd be fucked, as evidence on his one time gig on commentary on the contender series.

The play by play commentator kept setting him up to say stuff and half the time he didn't know what to say at all. A couple of times he didn't even seem to realize he was supposed to say something and then just said nothing lol. Or the play by play would try to get him to elaborate on something he'd said and he just didn't know how lol.

Din 100% needs the whole round to prepare his coaches segments he gets on normal cards. Heck, maybe the truck feeds him his lines lol.

Meanwhile, they got Chiesa on for a try as well that same DWCS season. I thought he would be shit too but he was legit amazing on commentary. They need to give Chiesa a shot on a proper card.
