Difference in WWF and WCW Jack Powerbomb

I like the story about Hogan telling Big Show that Nash told him he did that on purpose. Just another example of Hogan being the greatest worker in the history of the business.

In wwf, he did it like at 1min 30. More over the shoulder. He seemed to change it once he got older and guys got fatter or heavier.

In WWF, I always liked when he did the move to HBK or Owen Hart. Looked like a big brother

Why did Nash change the delivery from wwf to WCW?

In wwf, he delivered on his side almost. In WCW, it was more a drop release power bomb.

Curious if it was age? A wwf ownership thing or something else???

He stopped executing people with the wwf variant.

Age and laziness.

I could be mistaken but it looked virtually differentin WWF VS WCW.

I loved the move. It is annoying that a powerbomb is basically a regular move like a suplex or slam. I liked Vaders version off the shoulder. I liked Nash's drop release jacknife, and Hall's razor edge/iron Cross bomb.

I awesome the awesome bomb. Pretty cool. I miss the WCWs Japanese cruiser weights. The running powerbomb was cool.

Undertakers last ride was cool too. Taker everyone respects. I wish Roman Reigns or someone else pinned taker. Not Brock. He didn't need it.

Do you agree, it changed?

I hear that criticism of Nash. Money does that. Look at McGregor. He was a killer before. Money puts out the fire.

I think there's some truth. I also think people were fat AF. Nash dropped giant on his head. The guy was 500lbs.

The botched jacknife is deadly. <Lmaoo>We should brand it judgement day or game over. <45>

Hogan getting removed for racism. Didn't want daddy's little girl and BBC gang. <Lmaoo>

Nice avi btw. Harold Howard is the GOAT. <Moves>

He used to slam people down but later he seems mostly to just let them drop. Nash was always about work smart not hard.

McGregor went mad with cocaine, hangers on, his own hype. Nash never burnt out, he just killed WCW but not his career.

He said 18 knee operations.

I would add in girls too with McG.

I think age, injuries, and a number of things. I wanted a push when he went back to WWF but wishful thinking.

True. It went from a jackknife to a powerbomb

Hall had a nice fall away slam, too.

I was just glad a person finally did beat Undertaker at WrestleMania. I grew tired of hearing about it

I swear there was another thread about this exact same thing, that I had commented on ages ago.

If memory is correct, Nash started kind of dropping people more than slamming them when he was using the powerbomb in WCW, but I think it went with his character. In WCW him and Hall were playing that nonchalant, cool thing, and the drop kind of fit that, imo.

See. You know what I mean. I remember the jacknife being more off his shoulder and off a weird angle.

In wcw, it went more power bomb drop release. Like a variation of the jacknife and a power bomb. I loved it as a kid.

If I ever met Nash, I'd ask why the change???

I suspect it is because of fattys. He jacknife Rey mystery no problem in wcw.

Hall had a nice fall away slam, too.

He cut promos like no other. "he yo?" or "survey says."

Rip bad guy :(

I liked Seamus because he did it or a variation of it. I saw Seamus on athlenX Jeff Cavaliers YouTube. Seamus had horrible injuries. I suspect he stopped the iron Cross because of how fat or heavy dudes are now.

I think it is why Seamus switched to the bro kick. I think it was why Nash started the jacknife power bomb (drop release) instead of the jacknife like in wwf. The guys are so fat or heavy. Poor Nash jacknife power bomb giant twice.

The botched one was hilarious but scary. Nobody kicks out of that lol.

Hall had a sick back supplex off the top ropes in wwf. Great signature move.

I hear you but I wish Nash or Hall or Reigns or some new school guy got it.

Takers last ride powerbomb was epic. I liked the jacknife/power bomb best. It's good. No clue why Vader stopped the power bomb for a stupid splash in wwf? No clue why. Also, not a fan of how the super kick and power bomb is basically a regular move now.

I also notice that the pedigree changer too.

Look Mohammed wasnt the same prophet before and after Mecca. The Book of Nash also evolves. Work smarter not harder.

That is one thing that bugs me, and they've allowed it with a number of finishers.

Big finishers used to be protected, very rare someone survived them and if they did it played to the story and fit what was happening and who was doing it.

Now everybody survives the best of finishers at some point or another, and it makes the finisher look weak.

Jake the Snake has talked about this regarding the DDT, and it applies to a lot of others too.

I got DDT as a kid. We were play fighting. My buddy stepped back slipped on ice and I got DDT. Pretty sure I had a slight concussion. I was ten. It hurts.

I liked the Vader power bomb. Iloved Sid's power bomb. I liked the super kick. I liked the jacknife and outsiders edge. Awesome bomb and the Asian wcw fighters running bombs were cool.

I don't know the guys today tbh. I always thought that the jackhammer was a soft move. It was basically a suplex power slam. The Goldberg spear was epic. I hate it got over used and by much less gangster top stars.

I like Nash broke the streak. I don't like how Triple H beat him and squashed his run. I think sloths beat him in wwf. I got no problem with Brock or Reigns but common.

I think Brock is so bad ass in WWE and ufc. Unreal athlete, career, and genetics.

Do you still watch???

I keep up with what's going on but I'm not watching every minute by any means. These days I tend to watch the bigger matches and mostly fast forward thru the filler lol.

Tangent, and I've told the story here before so not going to get into the full thing again, but I met Nash and Goldberg once after a show in 96 or 97, was peak NWO at the time.

Nash was super cool to us, had no reason to give us the time he did, he actually initiated from his rental car as we crossed the street. Dude was freaking HUGE, and I was 6'4" at the time, made me feel tiny lol.

Goldberg was nice, also huge, but Nash really went out of his way to give us a cool memory.

Finishers nowadays are still protected. I think it’s nostalgia talking. Maybe not to the extent of the DDT or Camel Clutch or Hulk Leg Drop in the 80s, but it’s big thing for a Honda armbar or even RKO to fail.
