This man has beaten more men, in more towns for more money than almost all of us will ever see. He has slept with more women than a hot water bottle, has partied, yoga'd, YES'd, and cut the tops off asparagus into legend. His fights vs Guida, Parysian and Melendez were JBG porn, and even when he was getting the shit kicked out of him, cut, bleeding, and broken, my dude just kept on moving forward making the craziest mean mugs of all time... There will never be another Diego Sanchez or his like ever again.

It's amazing he's still going after the wars he's had - a true tribute not only to his his fighting spirit, heart, and determination, but also to how well he's looked after himself still to be going at 37 in the way that he is. He put his body through a lot. This migjy be thd kast one.

He might not have been the greatest fighter, but back in 2007 or so, he seemed like he could be the guy. He almost was. she will be remembered for much, much more.

Love me some Diego man. But this dude needs to know when enough is enough. It's painful watching him look around like he's taken too many hits to the head and slur when he talks.

He's had an amazing career. Time to hang them up, take the money he's made and good health he has, and move on.

The fact that the BJ Penn fight was stopped because of a cut says it all

Diego took an unholy beating from the best Penn of all time and kept moving forward and shooting TDs until the doctor wouldn't let him

Hopefully Diego smashes Gall.

Aye, I think it's time too - Mickey Gall isn't exactly BJ Penn, and it's a toss up, which is crazy given the guys Diego fought.

I always felt that if he'd stuck to his wrestling base instead of brawling he'd have had a better record - but way less bonuses... And for that I love him.

Dude is a legend for sure. One of the most entertaining of all time. For you newer fans watch his LW fights from back in the day.

You're correct, the longest active guy on the roster is fighting at 235, but it's Lawler not Sanchez.

Came to Say this.

But Lawler went elsewhere in between .

Still, Lawler

In was gonna say this... The Karo Parisyan fight in particular - Karo was a grappling monster back then, threw him all over the place, and Diego had to switch his style and ended up putting on one of the most rage filled and angry beatdowns you'll ever see on Karo, who, to this day claims that he win the fight, and that the teeth we saw flying out of his mouth "were just veneers"... Was FOTY.

Legend.

In a way you're right... But Lawler gets plenty love on here - Diego doesn't get enough credit. Robbie wasn't always the top boy, he came back as one, but he left as a prospect... Diego did everything in the UFC.

Solid career, nice guy and always comes to bang.

Hopefully he gets one more W and hangs it up.

War Diego u crazy son of a bitch!

I've never really been a fan of Diego the fighter, although he always comes ready for war, but I'm a huge fan of Diego the human being. He's a bit eccentric, but he's a kind person with a good heart.

That is easily my favorite of vintage Diego, but the BJ fight is what won me over. I think Diego really would've fought Georges to the death if he'd have been allowed.
