Did Velasquez seriously want to start a pro wrestling career?

I was very disappointed by his run in WWE.
 
A legitimate world-class fighter, but looks odd, with a truly shit tattoo and no real charisma.

Although personally, I thought the years of injuries accumulated fighting in the UFC would hinder him the most.

Crown Jewel booking was idiotic however.
 
As per Ryan McKinnell, Cain was sincere but Frank Mir training with Aires and MLW was a half-hearted poke at a cash grab.

I just wish someone would hold his big ass down and cut off his man-bun.

I can suspend disbelief to the point of accepting that Papa Shango cursed Ultimate Warrior and caused black liquid to pour from his scalp.

I cannot suspend it enough to believe a man with a bun is a badass :D
