Did the UFC give Edmen a layup at UFC 320?

It was like the UFC served him a triple gold platter.


1) He's not fighting at the APEX for once. He's like the 3rd guy on the roster that lives at the APEX.

2) He's fighting above the early prelims, which means the arena will be packed by the time he fights.

3) He's fighting a ring rusted & practically amateur these days Andre Muniz.
Muniz lost his fight IQ a while back, so now he makes mistakes in every fight.


Does Edmen have enough confidence in himself to win this fight?
The UFC served him prettty well at 320.

Idk considering Edmen's problem with grapple heavy fighters in the past it could be a tough fight for him. But like you said Muniz has looked bad and really should be on a four fight losing streak got a gift dec against iron turtle.

Shahbazyan has been fighting elite talent like... Dylan Budka, AJ Dobson, and losing to Meerschaert.

I have to agree on the first half until we hit #3 and then I couldn’t disagree more, respectfully.

The ufc is definitely trying to hype Edmen, the spot in the lineup is an excellent point TS. But Muniz is no layup.

Yeah I was looking at this as a bad matchup for poor Edmen. He's gonna get lnp hard.

I personally think Marc Montoya is the perfect coach for Edmen.
Montoya was formerly Anthony Smith's coach and also coached Chris Gutierrez tonight.

The only way to give Edmen confidence is to quit baby talking him and tell him to let his hands go and put everything on the line.
Edmen loses when he gets surprised by his own abilities.
