Did Ngannou just intentionally missed the $ chance ?

He looked defeated when he realized he had nothing for the Frenchman.
Exactly, you're kidding yourself if you think Lewis willingly took an ass beating like that. Who the fuck would let a 245lb HW tee off on them unless they had no choice?

The first fight was Ngannou figuring himself out again, think by looking foolish it gave him the energy to work himself back up to a title. No way the rematch looks similar, Ngannou would finish Lewis.

Stop believing everything Dana says lol
I'm not believing in Dana "He doesn't want to fight" White

But the reality of how things transpired are that Ngannou never talked about or showed any interest in Lewis at all but already seems to be talking up his next fight with Gane.

The Lewis that showed up against Gane would have lost to Francis too.
that's the same Lewis that showed up against Volkov and Blaydes. It's a better Lewis than the one who showed up against Post first Miocic Francis.

Lol, let's not pretend or imply any version of Lewis could've done anything to Gane or non PTSD Ngannou...

He agreed to fight Lewis in September Dana didn’t want to wait and needed a main event in Houston vs the hometown Lewis

Ngannou did not duck anyone, kid.
There was an open discussion between Dana and his manager on twitter where the manger said they would fight against anyone in September.
Dana ignored and set this fake interim belt anyway.
why Dana did that ?
Did he say why ?

I legit think Ngannou just wanted time off. People seem to forget how many times he got dicked around for the Stipe fight. He went into fight camp like 3 separate times. He finally gets the fight, destroys Stipe and they want him to fight 3 months later.

He was willing to fight Lewis but wanted to wait until September/October. UFC just signed a major arena deal with Houston and wanted it in August. That date didn't work for Ngannou, they got mad and made videos acting like he's a primadonna. That's the story.

That's always been Dana and the UFC's motto. You be a company man and bend over backwards for them or you are a cancer to the sport and "don't want to fight".

The UFC has a event deal with the Toyota center, so in exchange for the site fee or whatever compensation the UFC gets from the venue, they probably promised Lewis would headline the first show. ESPN requires headliners have a belt on the line. Hence the interim belt, which also is a good for an extra 50k buys or whatever.

Also likely as a fuck you to Francis and Jones for not playing ball with Dana.

just throwing this out there. maybe just maybe. ngannou is just spending some of his money on cocaine and hookers. maybe. highly likely but prob not. yeah, we will say he is, and good for him. having a great time being champ.

You meant "possible" instead of likely.
he was scared of both lewis and gane and wanted them to damage each other so he could fight the broken pieces

"Break my contenders
into pieces:
This is my last resort."--Ngannou Roach

He made a big mistake since Gane is a way harder pay day than Lewis.

Him and his manager took a risk and so far it hasn't paid off. If he wins then it's kind of moot though.

because Dana wanted to force Francis to accept August 7th date. But he could not. he was traveling and would not get back in time to have a camp for the fight.
So they were looking at a September event.

Then Dana setup the fight with Gane at the date he wanted (as a "fuck you" move) and trashed Ngannou for daring not to accept the fight in August.

Ngannou vs Jones will be the highest selling heavyweight PPV for UFC... Guys will make bank and Gane will get stripped of his fake belt ( Like Tony for Conor vs Khabib ) to make it legit...

You lose ALL credibility the second you try to infer that any UFC champ is fighting for $100K. You don’t even realize how ridiculous that makes you look, do you?

It’s a rhetorical question. If you realized how ridiculous it makes you look, you wouldn’t say it.

lol

What's ridiculous is that you think it is such a ridiculous suggestion.
Demian Maia fought Woodley for 100k as the title challenger just a few years ago.

Plus that wasn't even the point of my post. I wasn't saying the offer was 100k, I was saying he shouldn't fight for 1/10th of his worth when he is in a position to negotiate.

If they offered him 2million then that was probably fair when $750k was considered fair at 16% revenue. On 40% revenue, 750*40/16= approx 2mil.

By skipping the Lewis fight,
did he infact just said tnx but no tnx, I will just wait for Jones and dont want to earn few additional 100k dollars?
Or it doesnt matter if he fights or not because of the UFC contract he has?
