My God! It was Connors first boxing match, against the greatest defensive fighter ever, with a ton experience. He did not learn that experience after one fight!

Conor done well for his first fight. I say that as a huge boxing fan, and mma fan. Of course Conor lack of experience I the boxing ring means he will make mistakes on his first fight, will make wrong decisions, but it's his first bloody boxing fight!

You didn't refute a single point in the OP.

We're not focused on Conor here. We're focused on Mayweather. Try to keep ip.

First of all, I've never paid for a Conor fight.

Second of all, you didn't address a single point in the OP, like all the other nuthuggers arguing against it. Make a valid point or go away.

My points are valid to what you wrote! Please Read!

So, if you are a boxing fan, and understand it can take years to gain the experience needed in the boxing ring, do you admit that Conor preformed better than expected?

I'd say yes. Floyd fooled Conor and his fans into thinking he was really doing something in retrospect.

TBT, I have zero reason to dispute Mayweather's assertation that it was all part of his plan. He was smiling. He was walking Conor down instead of fighting defensively. He only once looked like he was bothered by Mac's power shots when they landed. Hell, he didn't even look like he was sweating all that hard at all.

My personal opinion going in was if Conor didn't get Floyd out in the first, it was a lost cause.

It is really sad that haters would rather say that Floyd planned to get hit by all them Conor shots, and that he was only making Conor look good, just because they can't admit that Conor done well.

You didn't refute any point in the OP.

When you do that, you can ask the questions here.

Yes a guy like Floyd can control the distance between you, the force he hits you with, everything way better than Conor, given boxing rules.

He could have made Conor look worse, could have hurt him more.

Conor did great though and deserves the highest praise for positioning himself into this fight.

Cannot state that enough.

How many guys are good enough, savvy enough to do that?

Not many.

He's fantastic for combat entertainment. Great.

And clearly he'd beat the shit outa Floyd in an MMA match.

So its all good stuff.

Did you read the OP.

I outlined why it was a carry, and you didn't respond to a single point.
Sure he did, he basically called bullshit on your claim and pointed out how Mayweather and Sugar ray were both suprised at how well Conor did.

No, most people expected him to get T/KOed and that was exactly what happened. In fact the odds of Floyd by TKO were only -125

No, most people called it a complete miss match. Obviously, it was not. But the thing is, no matter how well Conor done, haters will never admit it. And to me, you are not combat sport fans.

Nah Mac actually dodged a lot of shots that could've got him in trouble a lot earlier. Mayweather dug hard to the body, that's not a carrying move at all. That shit ends fights.

No. Conor gassed. That was the only difference.

If Mayweather opened up and came forward when Connor was fresh, he would have got starched.

Good experience and gamesmanship by Mayweather.

Which doesn't refute any of the points, you moron.

Look at the numbers. It was a massive mismatch. Jesus fucking Christ.

It is becuase Floyd for the first time in his career decided he wanted to uncharacteristically become a flat footed pressure fighter with lazy defense. Mayweather before this fight was known for his defense and "dancing around" and being a counterpuncher. Why did he change. Because he was not worried about Connors offense and was having fun going for the finish, or he was carrying him to make him look good. It is one or the other, either way, had Mayweather truly fought like Connor was a serious threat Mayweather would have fought like he has the entire rest of his carrer.

He wouldn't finish Conor had he stuck to his typical defensive style. Floyd did seem a little slower but still a master and much faster than Conor. I thought Conor did better than any of Floyd previous opponents in a long time.
