Media Did Khamzat Chimaev finally bite off more than he could chew?

What are you arguing about ? At first, he was holding the towel, but at 0:50, you can see that he made weight... <{katwhu}>

They let him hold the towel twice to begin with. WHY was he holding the towel in the first place??? Then the scale is still swinging up and down when they call out 171.

If he survives the first round then he wins easily. Gimme Whitaker all day.

Then what's the point of doing the weight-in a second time, if it was part of the plan to let him hold the towel ? {<jimmies}

Because they have to make it remotely presentable. The opponent probably would've backed out if they tried to announce a GIGANTIC MW as OFFICIALLY weighing in at 166, lmao.

Those Middle Easterners sure are friendly to the Russians. The scale for makhachev below looks like it's measuring an earthquake or some shit.

<{MingNope}>

this goes like the Usman fight but this time Rob is a real MW with tons of fights in his resume. Khamzat will basically try the TDD and if Rob stops those he'll win.

Oliveira also is part of the big conspiracy... {<jimmies}

Who knows. After all, it's a fight in a sandbox, meaning no weigh-ins and PED control for the homeboy. Also, Whitaker is an ex-WW, which figures, as Khamzat prefers to fight lightweights at WW and WWs at MW.

Not sure what point you make here

- Khamzat agreed to fight Costa, who might be the best MW in UFC
- Whittaker was a WW in his early 20s and struggling
- Khamzat himself was a WW at a later age and higher level

the down under knuckles will get it done, he will get a late stoppage 100%. kamzhat only has elite movement for one round. knuckles is too smart for this shit. not only will he survive the round, he will take it into deep waters, he will demystify teh kamzhat, and deplete him of his aura, on the big stage. this will be one to remember, the day kamzhat lost.

For Oliveira it's fine, but the others it not ? You are not making any sense, let it go... {<jimmies}

No, but you still haven't explained why chimaev had his hands pushing down on the towel in the first place. You russian nuthuggers are fucking hilarious.

of course he's fighting one of the smallest Middleweights he sure does like fighting smaller guys. Rob needs to survive one maybe 2 rounds and then he takes over the fight.

This fight is hard to pick, mainly because Whitaker is chinny.

Whittaker that fight Romero handles Khamzat, but bobby is past his prime now.

"Rob used to be a WW, he was never that good and he's passed his prime" {<jimmies}

I can already predict the comments, in case Chimaev wins... <Neil01>

No!

This is what he should be doing more of!
