There is no perfect timing to move up to hw, all killers there. Cain, Mir, Overeem or Gane, they are all just one punch away from a KO.
in jones' own prime, i think he could have beaten most of those guys on a good night. gane is a much bigger test than a lot of people are giving credit for. great striker and so big and athletic he probably can't be taken down. i'm not giving jones much of a chance really. How would he have faired if he moved up when JDS, Werdum, Mir, Cain, Overeem, and Cro Cop were all in the mix?
I’m with you on this. He really blew it in the UFC.im sorry, but was cro cop ever in the mix in the ufc heavyweight scene??
Yeah it was hard to watch. Specially him coming in hot straight after the 2006 owgp.. but he never really got started in the ufc.I’m with you on this. He really blew it in the UFC.
That was my biggest MMA "Holy Shit" moment I think. My brain couldn't quite comprehend what I had just seen lol. I might need to go back and rewatch that fight, it's been a moment. That Gonzaga fight was a title eliminator, so yeah, he was in the mix at first.
Yeah that shit made me sad AF. The irony of it being a head kick too, and such a nasty one. MMA is an amazing and cruel sport lol. That was my biggest MMA "Holy Shit" moment I think.
