Its all misdirection.

Regardless of the focus on the source of the outbreak being the wet markets or the lab, they can't handle being reported on in a negative light.

And the fact they haven't closed the wet markets and made consuming bats illegal speaks volumes of how serious they take their own claims of the source being the wet markets.

Imagine a communist country being shy about making new laws.

Can't trust the CCP at all, they are pathological liars.

They will never admit their lab fcuked up, because that would be losing face and telling the world that China is grossly incompetent. It is possible that the lab was working on bio-weapons , and this virus could possible have been part of that program, in which case they will never ever let the truth come out.
