Frank Zane will always be the aesthetic God. arnolds core even in his prime did him no favors. Still close between those 2.

The thing is early BBs like Arnold and Lou did compete in some strength sports and were more functional than the mass monsters who followed them. They even jogged! Crazy, right?

I'm not saying they were some CrossFit or powerlifting elites, but many could actually do more than just showing off their (admittedly hard earned) bulk.

I never thought of Arnold as "handsome" until I saw Pumping Iron like 10 years ago. He had s unique face in the 70s but still handsome all the same.

Yes. Because his height and shoulder to waist ratio, skeltal frame are insane or were. He was a legit 6"2 or close to it.

Now he is 5"11 id say. Nobody who lifts that heavy overtime seems immune to wrecking their back and losing height.


Edit: anyone who can find his 1973 and 1974 Mr Olympia photos high resolution? They were his best years I believe. Insane calves, quads etc and chest.
