Diaz-McGOAT 2 is WONDERFUL

At first I was 100000% against this fight, but now I just really wanna see Diaz beat him again to finally shut everyone up.

But it won't shut everyone up. There will be new set of excuses and praising his humbleness in defeat or some other shit. This people are too far in denial.

At a loss for what to say right now. It's a highly entertaining fight but it just doesn't make sense right now. No one was clamoring for a rematch. Conor got whooped by a guy who cut a vacation short. I'm a fan of the guy but that's exactly what happened. Make Conor/Frankie, that's what people want to see (or what I want at least).

Conor Bless needs to go back to clown-manlet school and win there again before coming back to the (not even very) big guys!

Yeah, lets have a guy who just got indisputably destroyed rematch the guy who beat him, instead of having Edgar/McG for the title. Let's continue to hold up a division in which the champion hasn't even defended once, yet he's fighting outside his weight class.

This is beyond fucked. This is some WWE Montreal Screwjob level backstage politicking

Yes TS, I'm retarded for not wanting to see an immediate non-title rematch between the featherweight champion and the lightweight #5 at fucking welterweight. I'm the retarded one here, sure.

Hey bro, we don't use the r word here okay bro? That word unfairly marginalizes the developmentally disabled bro. PC bro!

A non-title fight headlining UFC 200....

THE TIME IS NOW

As long as they both agree to come in at middleweight so i can at least excuse Conor for losing three weightclasses up.

You have to go full retard to dislike it. It's a great fight and good business. What the hell are you clowns complaining about?

How about it makes no logical sense at all outside of "derp it will sell big derp". Conor is the FW champ and he is fighting two fights at LW to the same guy? WTF that is retarded. He tried his hand at LW and got wrecked. He needs to go defend his God Damn belt!

If those guys had any drawing power, they would have gotten the fight.

Conor Bless

Drawing power is what WWE morons care about.

Conor goes with the Tristar/Firas Zahabi game plan and wins an easy decision. The McGOAT train gets back on track. Diaz gets his bum life changed once more and the UFC profit nicely once again. A potential third lucrative fight gets setup. Everybody wins. Who gives a fuck about Aldo and Frankie. If those guys had any drawing power, they would have gotten the fight.

Conor Bless

Who's to say Conor could be effective with a patient approach? That's complete speculation based on nothing. If you go back and watch the fight,Diaz slipped and straight up dodged most of Conor's strikes in the first round and returned with strikes of his own.

Most likely if Conor were to fight slower Diaz would lay hands on him even worse than he did before. It would allow Nate to dictate the pace with his volume.

First of all, I think you're overestimating how easy this is going to be for Conor. Conor got put down in 2 by a 10 days removed from drinking tequila in mexico Nate Diaz. Do you think him having a full camp is going to make this fight easier for Conor?!

Second, the problem with this rematch it that it just doesn't do anything for Conor's career. The guy needs to defend that belt or drop it. Theres zero shame in dropping it because he can't/doesnt want to make the weight. People get older and it's tougher to make the weight. No problem, but holding on to it while avoiding the division to try and avenge a loss in a meaningless rematch is petty. Tom Petty.

Welcome back dude

Hold on, they were still cheering AFTER Connor got lit up and went for a takedown and still cheering after Nate mounted and took his back ?

Kind of silly

From the perspective of a Conor hater this is pretty sweet. Dana probably realized there is a lot of media attention when one of his loudmouth "superstars" gets demolished.

Conor has to be some kind of fucking masochist to take this fight.

Under any set of circumstances, clogging up the title picture and nesting on a belt is bad for the sport. You can get a short term, one-off money pop from doing this, but I think its one of the many things that makes it difficult for MMA to gain traction as a sport.

If he's not going to defend the featherweight belt, he should be forced to surrender it.

It's entirely likely he stays at 155lbs anyhow considering how tough the cut was and the IV ban. Let Edgar/Aldo/Holloway fight in some combination to determine the new featherweight champion.
