Conor goes with the Tristar/Firas Zahabi game plan and wins an easy decision. The McGOAT train gets back on track. Diaz gets his bum life changed once more and the UFC profit nicely once again. A potential third lucrative fight gets setup. Everybody wins. Who gives a fuck about Aldo and Frankie. If those guys had any drawing power, they would have gotten the fight.

Well, the fact that the fight doesn't make any sense whatsoever in regards to title contention, and it keeps the FW division (and possibly LW division as well) on hold for perhaps a full year (for starters).

Conor was finished. It was not a split decision or controversial loss. There is no reason whatsoever for this fight.

It will be crazy. If Conor wins, then his next fights will be much better too. And if the first fight did 1.5 mil like they are saying, it will easily break UFC 100 with a rematch and a great card.
 
The first fight was a decent fight outside of McGregor crumbling so quickly. Both fighters usually put on entertaining fights, so I'll watch.

But it's far from the most interesting match up, which would be Edgar imo. A rematch with Aldo would also be preferable to a rematch with Diaz imo, but I can understand why the UFC would be shy about making what is likely a huge PPV dependent on Aldo.

If McGregor beats Diaz, then they are 1-1

Diaz is gonna do so much better with a camp.

And IMO if the fight goes to the ground with any time on the clock Conor is fucked... 5 rounds is a long time to avoid the bigger guy getting you down.. and he will never out cardio Diaz.

First round knockout is his best shot, but thats never happened to Nate either.. I don't think its going to start with Conor if Rory couldn't do it.

If McGregor beats Diaz, then they are both sort of in limbo at LW (or super lightweight or wherever they are fighting). McGregor would push Diaz away from a title shot while himself needing to go back down and defend his belt at FW. If Diaz wins, two back to back wins over the same guy might push him into title contention, maybe into being a star, but I think he would do better to fight Pettis.

Meanwhile, a title fight with Frankie either ends with Conor being definitively the best FW or with Frankie being champ for the second time and in a different weight class. That fight means more imo.

I'd love to see the fight again but you're retarded if you think he in anyway could win an easy decision..... If he conserves his energy and strikes less against a full camp Diaz then he is literally a punching bag. His striking was what kept Diaz away for the first round..... No matter what Diaz lands eventually and Conor goes down...

Dumb thread really. The best Conor lost to the worst Diaz!
