Did anyone else notice the body shots he was landing on McGregor throughout the short fight? I haven't watched it again yet, but I recall him landing some good shots to the body that seemed to hurt McGregor; I really think Nate's body work was overlooked. I haven't seen anyone else mention this, so I figured fuck it, thread makin' time.

Also, while I like Conor, I don't think he was as humble in defeat as many are claiming. Not that he's been a dick following the loss, but he was saying that Nate used his energy better, which is true, but far from the full story. Nate is simply a better boxer and much, much, much better grappler. He has better head movement and better punches, there is a clear skill difference between them. Nate is also a, I dare say, notoriously slow starter. Nate also exhibited better cardio, even out of shape. Basically, he's a grittier, more skillful fighter.

I also enjoyed Conor eating his comment about panic wrestlers. Edit: And Conor eating his words about Nate's soft body. Nate was also the one who hurt McGregor with body shots. It's like everything Conor said came back on him. Nate cleaned up Sherdog for awhile.

I think I had something else to mention, but fuck it, I don't remember it right now and I'm hungry.

Yeah, just prior to the final sequence when he had Conor against the cage, he ripped him with a couple of nice hooks in the bread-basket.

Conor also landed a thunderous body shot on Nate at the beginning of the second, and said,"Ooh, that one hurt" to Nate, haha

Those were the shots that hurt Conner the most imo. Really slowed Conner down.

Conor himself in the interview with Helwani said that he abandoned his own bodyshots because he ate some bodyshots from Diaz and they drained him.

You could hear Mcgregor groan when Diaz hit em with that knee on the fence, was all down hill from there

Diaz landed some nasty body shots. Especially a nasty knee right to his gut.

Gotcha. I haven't seen that interview.

Him and his brother understand the importance of body work its no secret that has emerged. Conor's cardio and lack of planning for 5 rounds got his ass because his whole mentality was over in the 1st well he won the 1st round. Then in the second he be like holy sheep shit I did not plan for this when he knew he was fighting a dude that will go 5 rounds then eat a brown belt in the 6th

After Nate stunned Conor and they went to the cage, Nate slammed in an awesome knee to the body. That had to hurt for sure.

Once Conor was hurt, it was all over. Gassed, stunned, no way to knock out Nate, taking more and more damage, panic set in and then the bjj clinic commenced.

Best part was when Nate got in one last lunch before the choke.

You could almost read Nates mind at that exact point, take that mother fucker!!
