Diaz beat Conor easier than Khabib did, but Diaz...

Rematched him and lost.

Why is it so crazy to suggest a rematch should've been immediate? Or at least by now?

Conor proved after Diaz beating him, he could bounce back and redeem himself.

It's illogical to immediately dismiss that a rematch should've happened after Diaz handled Conor quicker than Khabib did.

It's possible Conor could beat Khabib.
Nate is an inconsistent gate keeper, Conor is 1-1 at lightweight and still hasn't fought at 155 since.

It's ridiculous to even make this comparison. Well he beat Nate so surely he'd do well against a significantly better fighter.

Delete this trash post.

Conor was drinking heavily leading up to Khabib fight.

Khabib walks 20+ pounds heavier than Conor, so that's a huge advantage.

However, hungry and sober Conor may have a chance to overcome fighting a much heavier man as he did with Diaz in the second fight.
Motivated Conor starches Ngannou in seconds

is this what fanboys do now? Talk about what ifs, shoulda coulda woulda?

I always think of what would happen if Frazier retired after beating Ali the first time. He would have retired undefeated at 27-0 and he'd have a relatively clear victory over Ali, rocking him & dropping him throughout the later rounds.

On two scorecards it was pretty dominant (9-6, 11-4) for Frazier. It's hard to give a complete assessment of a match up without rematches. Ali went on to beat Frazier twice afterwards. You never know what could happen if Conor got a rematch.

Cormier dominated and KO"d Stipe in 1 round, then lost the next two fights against him.

no, Nate didn´t beat Conor easier than Khabib, Nate took lots of punches
Khabib just spent more time but was never rocked or took any powerful punches, if you beat a guy under R1 it doesn´t mean it was easy if the guy takes lots of shots and ends busted up

Go back to watching NBA. Everything from your username to your shitty hot takes exposes you as a newbie fan. It's ok to be a noob, but you should just sit down, shut up, and catch up on the sport instead of mouth-shitting your terrible opinions all over this forum

Conor got an instant rematch against Diaz because

A) Conor was champion at the time and undefeated in UFC before Diaz, so he got some special treatment. Conor was ranked higher than Diaz at 155 and it was just a money fight. He was still their 155 pound champion, an active fighter, and #1 draw. The UFC HAD to allow Conor a chance to save face against Nate Diaz

By the time Khabib was champ things had changed. Conor had gotten humiliated by Mayweather, had vacated his belts, and had gone full-on diva. That is how leverage works in this sport, when you're on top you have it, when you're not on top you don't

This is the harsh reality that Conor fanboys have to face, that Conor can also be treated like just any other fighter. He never defended his belt, so he rightly doesn't deserve an instant rematch. He's a part-timer, so he doesn't get to skip rankings and get a title shot by beating a washed-up Cowboy at 170. That is how MMA works for everybody else, and now for Conor as well

Nate getting a better win over Conor than Khabib? Not even worth arguing against

You're a casual.

That's sad.

Study up and come back stronger.

No, he didn't.

He easily won three rounds and possibly four.

Knocked him flat on his ass numerous times.
Homie, he literally spent the majority of at least 2/5 rounds running in literal circles away from Nate. Homie didn't even circle away, he'd literally turn around and start sprinting lmfao

Khabib was the champion, and other fighters deserved the title shot instead of Mcgregor.

Nate took a lot more punishment in that first fight than Khabib did against Conor.
