Social Diane Feinstein RIP

Liberals grave dance in every thread about a conservative figure dying.

Cry more.
I’m “MAGA”. I’ve never said I’m MAGA. I have often said I wish trump wasn’t in the race. It’s fun when you can cast stones and then run away when you’re wrong.

Don’t celebrate too soon, buddy…

Her replacement will be far younger, far more extreme, far more energetic, and far more motivated than she ever was.
Thats too bad. California had a good run, though.

Honestly, I think the reaction many in this forum had to the death of Rush Limbaugh should make people reconsider how they actually respond to the death of figures they really didn't like much. The whole idea of decorum and respect at the death of someone is good and fine - but for many it's a really, really empty gestures and is, ultimately, a lie told about someone you strongly disliked, maybe hated, and probably didn't respect. If all you feel for a person is revulsion for a politician who you think contributed to a lot of bad outcomes, the mask was torn off (here) not long ago - wish them down to hell if that's what you really feel. Putting flowers on the grave of a person in public when in private you want to piss on their grave seems... Profoundly disingenuous - and many here have made it clear they're happy to just skip the flowers and start pissing.

Personally, I have trouble giving a genuine message of condolences for anyone who stood tall and voted in favour of things that happened in the last few years. Many of these people are bad, bad people - out of touch elites who will drink champagne in places you were forbidden to go as your life fell apart because of policies they glibly supported buoyed on a fat paycheque and pronounced with political bullshit talking points. Many of these people sat in an ivory tower while you suffered and made it clear they were more interested in politics than your suffering. They fiddled while Rome burned and now I'm going to pretend like I'm sad they're gone?

I'm not going to cheer her going to hell like many did with Limbaugh recently, but I'm not going to pretend like I am sad she's gone. Bye, lady. Not everything you did was bad, but your clinging to power and influence until they day you died says a lot about who you really were. I hope someone who is more human and less a political animal fills your (granted, rather big) shoes after you clung on to power until your dying day, even robbing someone who might have had something to contribute to the political discussion until you literally died. For everyone else, I'll say it again - the mask has been taken off, in this forum, quite clearly. If you don't feel any actual sadness over her death, ask yourself, why do I lie and give condolences? What purpose does it serve? Who are you trying to impress?

Edit: Also, remember, when the most disingenuous actors among us come in here and say "Come on - show some respect!" look at their own conduct when Limbaugh died and ask yourself, are these the people you're trying to impress? What do you think they'll do when certain notorious figures you might support die? Will they be gracious, or will they skip the flowers and just start dancing on the graves? Again, the mask was torn off not long ago. It might be time to consider being honest rather than feigning grief and respect to impress people not worth impressing. Some of these disingenuous cunts will turn your own senses of decorum and compassion into weapons against you, and won't offer a whit in return when they have the chance.
You were nicer than I was going to be. I was just going to post a bye Felicia gif.

She voted for the war in Iraq.

Sometimes I wish there was a God.

I think he means the speaker/ minority leader role. Though he could’ve seen that stepping down as also leaving congress which it wasn’t.

Let's not give her too much credit, she'd been grooming her successor and wanted to make sure the corporatists maintain control while she still has the mind to do it.

Pelosi was also involved in keeping Feinstein in office, even had her own daughter taking care of her. She wants Adam Schiff to replace her in the next election, doesn't want Newsom appointing someone else.

Giving her daughter power of attorney should have been a majority warning sign she was not long for this world.

This should have been immediate grounds for dismissal. If you can't handle your own affairs, you sure as hell can't handle the state of California's.

I don't have any kind words for these power hungry dinosaurs and all of the people around her that enabled this. A 90 year old woman working in the condition that she was in is beyond absurd. I doubt she even knew where she was half of the time in her later years, so it just reeks of abuse by the people around her. Imagine your 90 year old mother or grandmother on death's door sitting on committees and traveling to DC for work....
You have to be surrounded by soulless freaks.
We already went through this with Ginsberg, and we see Mitch glitching as well. Serious, adult conversations should be had about stuff like this, because this is no way to run a government.

She was an elitist and extremely wealthy, worth 110 million dollars. Yeah, truly a woman of the people. No corruption there. I am sure, she, like all the rest of the politicians that enter politics either middle class or slightly wealthy(sometimes much more) come out with tens or hundreds of millions of dollars and more in stock and properties-all on a position that pays a few hundred k.

Do I care about your feelings? Did I upset you I pointed out she was incapable of being in office yet refused to step down?
I mean, your response was an afront to human decency and had to be outed. I know you don't care and that's precisely the point. It's as if feelings of empathy and compassion are a weakness to some such as yourself. You didn't spare any moment in letting us know what you thought of Diane Feinstein's legacy. This is a person who served in the U.S senate since 1992. Who was mayor of San Francisco. Who survived two assassination attempts. She is the first woman to have chaired the senate intelligence committee, the senate judiciary committee and the senate rules committee. She was the person who found Harvey Milk basquing in a pool of his own blood after he was shot five times and tried to save him. She leaves behind her quite the political legacy. BUt you decided the opportunity to deliver an underhanded jab at her desire to stay in office a little longer than she should was too salient to pass up. That says a lot about your character.

Of course this is your internet persona. Who knows if real life social pressures prevent you from being an overt asshole. Sherdog offers the kind of anonymity where you can just be yourself and not have to worry about the consequences. Good for you

She married a rich guy: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_C._Blum. You'd think a former cop would take 2 seconds to Google something before just making a serious accusation of a crime in public.
