Television Dexter Resurrection

Please tell me it’s not full of scenes of an imagined Deb lecturing him for 15 minutes an episode. If not, maybe there is some hope.

It’s sad that the actor who plays Dexter seemingly can only get roles as Dexter.

I would have liked to see him as an android in the Alien series, or as a villain in a horror film. He can be Dexter without being “Dexter” - like how 5th Element was John McLean in space, or Clint Eastwood was always more or less Clint Eastwood but in a new scenario and you loved it.

He was good in "Cold in July"

It seems to be the fate for many actors that had prominent roles in long running TV series. When a ton of people have seen you as a character for 60+ hours of screen time, it's hard to not be always seen as that.

As far as Resurrection goes, I am liking it a lot more than New Blood. It feels more like classic Dexter than that season did.

Such a high quality show. The end scenes do the trick in making me look forward to the next one. Peter Dinklage's performance is a s good if not better than in Game of Thrones.

He was a gay undertaker in Six Feet Under.

a sassy and sensitive one with PTSD and emotional freak outs as well. Dexter, a murdering psychopathic serial killer was a 180 degree turn from David.

I suspect he took a step back from the spotlight after getting cancer and going through a divorce. I doubt he has been typecast.

He might be a bit typecast, not that his bank account is hurting over it. He has played the same character on and off for damn near two decades. He's probably a bit harder to cast in other roles, since all people see is Dexter. He's actually kind of lucky, in that this role never seems to go away. It's pretty steady high paying work, LOL.

Another really good episode. This season is far surpassing my expectations!
Its the best season of Dexter since season 4. And its far and away a comeback i did not expect from what I considered a dead horse that's been kicked so many times it stopped shitting hundred dollar bills.

I disliked just about everything after season 4 until this string of new blood, prequel and resurrection came about

I didn't think they could salvage this show after season 6, 7 and 8

I am happy I was wrong

That was pre dexter. And that show was fucking great.

Still the greatest final 5 minutes that wrapped everything up nicely in a finale that I have ever seen

True, the end montage is genius.
