Television DEXTER: NEW BLOOD (Premieres Nov. 7, 2021) (SPOILERS)

Watched it again on the cable timeslot and for sure Harrison can't carry a spin off. Julia Jones can, looks good, nailed her break out role with good acting. She's a future star.

Very early on, I thought they wanted us to think the billionaire was the white camo masked shooter.

Yeah pretty sure he served no other purpose other than to act as a red herring. Especially with how he offered that officers daughter a lift while she was stranded in the first or second episode.

I didn't like the ending, They ruined Dexter again. I'm gonna buy the dexter novels and read em. because I bet the ending in that is far better than those two endings.

Dexter killing the cop is far from out of character. He was going to kill LaGuerta before Deb showed up and did it for him. It especially makes sense because Logan tried to kill him instead of cooperating. Hell, at that point it was practically self-defense. Were you expecting Dexter to let Logan kill him? At the end of the day, he's a violent psychopathic serial killer. The code and all that bullshit is just what he was acculturated to and what he uses to get away with what he does. He's broken it many times over the years and would have kept breaking it if he had lived on...

It was out of character, IMO.Remember when Dexter was going to turn himself in when Doaks figured it out? He gave Logan every opportunity to live and Logan decided to be a hero.

I think him jumping to escaping custody was more out of character than killing the innocent cop. There was nothing concrete that they could have charged him with and his story he gave them only gained more traction with them finding the gas truck at Kurt's. He probably could have got out of custody and went on the run without the incriminating escape.

Now Dexter is killing drug dealers?

I thought his whole thing was "I can only kill killers." The "he's a drug dealer so he indirectly kills people" is a stretch.

<{cruzshake}>
Did you watch his kills in the other seasons?

This was a pretty good bounce back season of Dexter so I'm a bit disappointed by the ending. Was hoping for at least another season.
Agreed. This was like an appetizer. Loved seeing that character back, he was so well written and Showtime fucked us over with how they forced the writers to rush the last season.

This last one was flippin great.

Especially in the later seasons, he had plenty of kills that didn't meet the code.
Heaps. I didn't hate it but Harrison saying he didn't have the code killing his coach seemed a bit rushed because when they had their heart to heart a couple of weeks ago Deb was telling him not to explain the whole thing that sometimes people get in the way and need to die.

Regardless though @NickNick Just loving having the show back again, Dex is an amazing character.

Dexter never seemed to quite get itself right after Season 4.. im not saying season 5 is bad but it doesnt feel like a proper follow up to how 4 ended. 6 is awful, 7 was good and then it shit the bed with 8, all in all this new series was okay but it sucks Dexter now jas 2 bad endings

Dexter stays in the cell, the case gets dropped because there is no actual evidence he and harrison leave the end
That's how I thought it was going to go. The only thing she had connecting him to BHB was the injection mark. Dexter used M99, not ketamine, in Miami. There was no evidence to Matt's killing other than the screws but Dexter's story was more plausible than hers.

I think they should have either made this season longer or made a second one to not rush the details at the end. It would have been cool to see Angel arrive and see Dexter again.

I kept on about a technicality. As soon as he mentioned the 30 odd dead chicks I had hope but Angel supposedly showing up no dice. Amongst other stuff. I actually thought somehow (don't ask me how) Harrison was going to frame himself and get Dexter off. But regardless, I'm not going mental about the end, I'm just flippin gutted he's dead because he was brilliant.

Potentially my favourite anti hero on TV I wanted to kill people and win. Natural Born Killers and Devil'd Rejects are movies.
