In Texas, too. Luckily, their court system deals in dollars, and it was likely in the Houston area, one of the few places in Texas that isn't insane when it comes to sentencing. He will pay for it, but this will get dropped down and he will do community service or some shit. For anyone who is poor, that's a felony.

I always heard double the speed limit is automatic arrest. Of course, officer’s discretion.

Personally, I don’t do more than 10 or 15 over these days.
