News Derrick Lewis arrested

He was probably trying to reach the flooded grid to help folks out. He should get a pass on this one.

Probably got depressed after the Tyson -Francis fight and I'm being serious here.
I was thinking the same
  • Has a win over Francis
  • Started training boxing under Foreman but switched to MMA
  • Despite fighting in a weak, aging UFC HW division, he never won the title. Lost both a fight for the belt vs. Cormier and interim belt vs. Gane
I don't think he would've done better in boxing, but I'm sure the thought is crossing his mind. Too late now...just what-ifs and regrets.

Stole the words right out of my mouth. I don't think I could have phrased it any better.

Meh, not sure why that warranted an arrest, unless he was fleeing the cops or something. Just ticket the F outta him, maybe impound his car with a huge release fee.

I'm sure most will disagree though. Just my opinion, nothing more.
Yeah your opinion sucks, it's not 60mph
I don't think you realiza how dangerous 136mph is

You either have it in you, or you don't. Adrenaline beats drugs every time.

136 mph in a 50 mph zone can be totally safe when a proper driver is in a safe performance vehicle with no traffic involved.

For 10 years, rode a 1999 CBR900RR and couldn't count the number of 150 mph plus bursts in a 55mph zone that were done - zero accidents.

Alright Vinny D
<GOT2>

You can never control for all variables and all it takes is a split second, even out in middle of nowhere.
Happened to a friend of mine who floored it for a minute… he spent a few weeks in a coma before he passed.
It’s a dumb move no matter how you try to justify it.
Take it to the track if you want to race

Damn my heart sunk for a second, yes it was irresponsible and lacked good judgment. No dui or anything crazy like that I'm relieved.
Yea. It means nothing.
DUI always means next fight is a loss.
It's more about is Derek back, or was the last fight an aberration and he's on the decline.
We know what he does to wrestlers.

Had a really close friend die in high school the same way. Empty road, middle of the night with no one around and lost control. 18 years old, dead from driving like an idiot

That's a jackass thing to do. Driving at 90 is already dangerous as fuck on the highway. You got this dude doing 136 on a 50. Yeesh. One wrong move and you've killed yourself or others or both.

Derrick Lewis is taking everything Rampage worked for!

Thats pretty fast... does it translate to jail time in the US?

Reckless driving. He allegedly passed a member of law enforcement while weaving in and out of traffic and making unsafe lane changes.
... Do you understand what happens when a driver going 135+ in an area filled with people/pedestrians and other vehicles going 50?
F=MA / Force = Mass x Acceleration.
..He is very lucky he didn't kill several people.
