Derrek Brunson reign of terror looks terrible now: He beat the 3 guys with the worst TDD ever

If you wait long enough, everyone's resume sucks.
it's not about that. It's about their TDD in particular. Their TDD has always sucked but some people thought they were something that they clearly were not before brunson fought them. It's just they are tailor made to be beaten by brunson because of their terrible TDD.

Was going to write a serious reply...

Then saw who the TS was

He beat Darren Till, Edmen Shahbazyan and Kevin Holland, all of which have the worst TDD in the whole UFC. Till was in even worse shape in the Brunson fight than he was in his last fight.

He beat other guys too, he is an okay fighter, nothing special.

Who? Elias Theodorou and Ian Heinisch ? Both of which he beat by close and terrible striking matches. People thought he was that good because of his amazing wrestling, which only really looked like that in his last run because he fought the 3 fighters with the worst TDD in ufc. His wrestling is good, but nothing amzaing. And his stand up is bad. He is not beating anybody in the top 10.

Ian is okay at wrestling

Not true, Brunsons resume is fine, he fell short in almost every big opportunity he got but served as quality control vs hype jobs, prospects and guys who never passed the wrestler test. He was a good gatekeeper to the top 10, now he's past it.

Some resumes for sure get better with time too, Umar beating Saidyokub meant nothing in the PFL but now it's quite clearly a great. There's a difference between a fighter in their prime getting exposed and you gaining a better idea of their level and a fighter who was in their prime and began to fall out of it so knuckleheads disregard them.

Its like Koscheck was clearly worldclass at a high level for years and began to clearly go down hill around 2013, to rate Koscheck based off his 5 fight losing streak which he retired afterwards would be inaccurate and a bogus way to rate him. But Till or Holland? These are part of their games that weren't or weren't largely tested in that began getting exposed still within their primes. They literally can't stop a takedown to save their lives and have very little to offer off their backs.

They actually made Woodley forfeit his WW title run retroactively due to recent developments in the degradation of Tills TDD at MW.

They were fine with the Jake Paul stuff but going 2 rounds with The Gorilla is just too unsightly of a historical pox given recent events.

Thank you for keeping us honest on the integrity of the UFC TS.

And if you wait long enough there will always be someone on Sherdog who will try and rehabilitate said resume.

One day there will be a thread about Prime Derek Brunson where we wash away all the sins of the past.
