You deserve to lose because one fighter blatantly cheats and the referee is a complete moron who refuses to do anything about it? Got it.
No, you deserve to lose because you stopped fighting in a cage fight. Glad we're on the same page.

Tough to say, did the glove grab really stop her from turning and cause her to get caught in an armbar, or was it just a momentary foul? Ref was in a tough spot there, not much he can really do if he missed the grab in the heat of the moment.

She's had a bunch of robberies go her way so I don't give a hoot.

When regular incompetence alters a fighter's career trajectory you've got only two choices as a fan: Be happy your guy benefited from it or be pissed they got screwed.

I'm no fan of Vanessa.

Upon and clearly cheated. The ref fucked up big-time can’t believe people are OK with this
There's robberies, back of the head shots, fence grabs, Oscar peformances, roiding, etc. You become numb to it.

The fans who had it the roughest were those who actually believed USADA would clean the sport, there was an avid sherdogger with a Novitzky AV who regularly posted on here touting the findings, number of suspensions, tests and Jeff's own reputation. Then picograms happened and I never saw him again.

I don't know about others, but as far as fouls go, grabbing gloves is the one I care least about.

Personally, I thought it was pretty significant in leading to the armbar.

I thought it was bullshit, and there is something the ref can do if he missed it: use the damn replay that is exists purely for these sorts of scenarios.

Justice for Demo, and I say this as someone who bet 1u on both Inside the Distance, and for the fight to end via sub lol.

For me it's grabbing the shorts. It sucks and definitely alters a fight to an extent, but there's going to be zero difference in the result if I start fuming or not.

Tbf, you'd care a whole bunch if it stopped you from turning.
Putting your fingers in the glove is a massive advantage, just look at Tim Kennedy vs Yoel.

Only reason Yoel got hit like that was because Tim was full on grabbing inside the glove.
Its as dirty as any other foul except eyepokes sir.

Yeah, I still don't care much to be honest. It's one if those fouls where I wouldn't care if it was legal. Like grabbing the cage with your toes.....

Just my opinion sherbro. I acknowledge that the foul happened though.

My main takeaway was that Jacqui is good at dirtily sticking her fingers right in there to guide the action to its climax

also, Vanessa has an annoying voice.

Exactly. Kevin Holland got choked out by Kyle Daukaus but when they realized via video replay it was preceded by an accidental headbutt they changed the result to a NC. They should’ve done the same thing here except restarted the fight with Amorim getting her position taken away and a warning that the next infraction would be a point deduction. But it didn’t happen because Montalvo is a bumbling buffoon who has no business being a ref.

grabbing the gloves are the easiest way to cheat.
refs. always have issues to see it

In an intense fight, which is probably true for most MMA fights, a situation like this can happen again and again. It doesn't even have to be intentional.
On the other hand: how many times has JBJ deliberately tried to poke his fingers into his opponents' eyes? If you assume Amorim did it intentionally and portray her as a cheater, every fight by JBJ is questionable. Just like every other fight in which cage grabbing, eye pokes and other things occur and the guy who´s done it won the fight.

But I see it the same way as others: defend yourself at all times or you lose the fight.

EDIT: If the ref doesn´t see it I would probably try to let the cheater pay for it and would do what I can to beat the shit out of him. Complaining about it at AND after the fight is the weakest thing to do. At least if you lost the fight by sub or KO.
