I agree that it is a stupid hill for democrats to die on, while also thinking its a miniscule and unimportant issue.
The Republicans should use this as a weapon and never let any voter forget it. Bring it up anytime a democrat opens their mouth on any issue about supporting women.
Even if it’s just one guy naked in a women’s locker room, because they want to appease him, that’s still too much. How long have you despise real women?
When your opponent makes a mistake, you have to exploit it. The Democrats make this a big issue by supporting it so fervently. It's easy points to score on them because everyone hates it so much.
The right wing media has convinced everyone that the Dems “fervently” support this issue.
No. The Democrats have. Go re-read the title of the thread you're posting in.
The right wing media has convinced everyone that the Dems “fervently” support this issue. Sean Hannity doesn’t go a single episode without randomly inserting “transgender” into a conversation. I fault the Dems for not having the balls to say say, “stop with the BS, let’s talk about what actually matters to all Americans”.
No. What many have said, is that it is up to the individual commissions to govern their sports, not the federal government, because it’s a non-issue for the vast majority of the American population. It’s estimated that only 0.5 - 1.5% of the entire population identifies as trans; that’s in a country of 340+million. It’s ridiculous that this even gets discussed at the federal level. But it’s a narrative pushed by the right wing media and it wins elections for the right.
It also effects all the teams that compete against them. Its funny, if guys like @Sinister actually believed its insignificant then they wouldn't be on here shit posting in defense of them.Even if it’s just one guy naked in a women’s locker room, because they want to appease him, that’s still too much.
I like how they say it’s only a certain number of people (trans athletes)—what’s the big deal? So what if only a few are infringing on a few others’ rights?
Yet they want to move mountains for that same number of trans athletes, including infringing the rights of the people around them. So lets say we take Queen bees number 44 that he posted earlier, there's a average of 10 people on their teams. That effects 440 girls.
That’s not logical.

They do support the issue. Every time legislation or efforts to stop it come up, they fight it every step of the way. And then dishonestly turn around and say "This isn't an important issue. Look at the price of eggs!"
So stop trying to gaslight us that it's only MAGA tards that care about this issue. If it's so unimportant, let the bill pass.
Bullshit this is a non-issue for the vast majority of the country. At least half the country cares about this issue.
Federal legislation is not necessary for an issue that doesn’t affect 99% of the American population. That’s what you folks don’t understand. How about the right focuses on passing legislation that actually affects you and me. I met one trans person in my entire life and it was 20 years ago. I don’t give a rat’s ass about this non-issue. If a local athletic commission allows or doesn’t allow trans athletes to compete, so be it. But let them decide. Federal tax payers money shouldn’t be wasted on what really is a tiny non-issue.
5 posts say otherwise.. I don’t give a rat’s ass about this non-issue.
Hilariously disingenuous post.
In sports, the 1% is all that matters. That's the guy who wins.
No one cares about trans people coming sixth. It's the fact they have an unfair advantage and come first.
My sister was a college athlete. She got a full scholarship.
If she had been competing with men, she wouldn't have even been in the top 500 in her sport, let alone the top 50.
See why that's an issue yet?
These policies have massive real world consequences for female athletes.

Let the NCAA decide what it wants to do with that, not the federal government. Here I thought the right was about small government.
