It's hard to imagine that she didn't get a nudge by her handlers to say something like that. She was in a weird spot in trying to convince people that she was the right choice for change, but by doing so also had to admit that she's been part of a failing administration that she strongly defended for four years straight.

First thing she should’ve done was fire them. But then I doubt she really has any legit connections to replace them with. She was a puppet the instant Biden named her as his VP. It’s pretty obvious they didn’t personally like each other. Even Democrats didn’t like her until then.

She got screwed, but that was the only shot she was ever going to get. Even a political retard like me knew her strategy of “playing it safe” while the media and Hollywood do her legwork for her would fail. Maybe she could’ve changed the outcome had she done some podcasts and actually took the time to talk to her supporters like a real human being…. If they had heeded their own internal polling then they knew running on Biden’s record was a losing strategy. Soccer is a good sport but I didn't appreciate it when I was younger. Looking back on it, I think I resented the soccer guys deep down. It seemed like they all came from good families, like they all eat dinner together every night when they were kids. Soccer seemed like the sport of the upper class white kid where I grew up.

As an adult I wound up coaching soccer for a dozen years and was even coach of the year. One of the most enjoyable periods of my adulthood. Same thing as when I was a kid, the soccer families were all pretty solid. All the starters on the high school team, except my kid, played traveling soccer. A family has to have their shit together to be able to accommodate a kid playing at that level.

It's a great sport.

I don't think Trump worked that hard in 2024. He had the entire GOP (and still does) on lock. The GOP did the work for him because what was the alternative? By 2019 he had the base hook, line and sinker. If you have an entire base literally trespassing on the White House for you there's not much he needed to do.

I think your prognosis is correct. The system is cooked. Well and truly corrupted. No independent media, an absolute DELUGE of corporate interest money, AIPAC.
