I don't disagree with all of this, but that doesn't change that his administration seems like it doesn't want to lead or make tough decisions.
In this political climate I can understand that is what I'm saying. They likely felt that leaving Trump's policies in place was a no-brainer because if there is STILL a "crisis" then obviously those policies dont work. Also it cooled the border as a political issue...I dont hear as much screaming about it as normal. You don't enact policies like that until you crush your opposition politically. Like if Trump goes to prison, MAGA collapses (already halfway there considering the last 2 election cycles), and it's not a hot-button political issue, then you can start to implement those kinds of changes. I think it's already starting with some very small measures, but I dont want to speculate too much until after 2024.
