First matches of the season last night for my son. 4 way duel and he went 3-0. The first two matches were close. He's a bit of a slow starter and tends to wrestle at his opponents level until he's warmed up. That's dangerous because every match matters. But by his third match he was locked in. I could tell by how he jogged out to start the match. A bit sloppy the first two matches but got the win. Physically he looked great. Muscular and lean. He's wrestling at 152 this season it looks like which I prefer. In the off season he got up to 163 lifting heavy running Sheiko and made some solid strength gains and put on some solid muscle. He needed this for confidence. He had a terrible showing at his last tournament a couple months ago. One thing I admire about him and his coach said something similar when he won the Freshman of the Year awards last season is that when it matters he puts on a good match. Here's his last match from last night if anyone gives a hoot.
I want to be Little Rex when I grow up.
Your Christmas AV, sir.

Oh yeah, the size and strength gain in his legs is instantly noticeable. THANK YOU, MR. SHIEKO!
